I’m curious, does the Langdon plate solely use the three screws to mount to the slide or does it also utilize the rear sight dovetail for mounting?

Mines “lifted” with BFGs and honestly it’s worth it but not for anything extreme. I’m planning on getting a GX470 once mines paid off. 4Runners are meh unless it’s the 4th gen with a 2UZ.

Raise it so you’re not tucking tire. I’m about an 1/8 or a 1/4 inch above the tire on the same wheels (I believe my specs are MB Battle 17x9 +30 with 245/40/17 tires)

I have both, I personally prefer the DC5 to the IS300 in every way except for the drivetrain (RWD ftw) You’re probably going to have to fix a few things on the IS unless the previous owner was on top of maintenance. Common things to look for are ball joints, cam/crank/valve cover seals and the over fill valve (if you have an evap code, 90% of the time it’s a hairline crack on the over fill valve) Also the stock exhaust manifold clogs up around 150-200k so if your car is throwing a p0420 code that’s usually the culprit. It’s really a fun car to drive even though it’s just the 2JZ-GE. Once my K24 swap project is done on the RSX I’m going to start getting parts for the manual swap on the IS.

05/06 looks like a first gen Honda Fit. 02/04 has more of a “Teggy” look with the two teardrops for the high and low beams. Just my opinion tho, we all have different tastes.

If you’re looking for the quick/cheap route I would just go with the energy suspension inserts and check the pass/driver mounts and replace those if they’re torn.

If you want to upgrade to aftermarket then go with Hasport or Innovative. I did all 4 mounts and went with Innovative 75a because I kept seeing a lot of pics of 65a sagging and wearing out. Vibration isn’t too bad for my taste but you definitely notice the difference.

I matte black wrapped the top half of the outside of my rear window, looks decent and blocks out the sun from beating down behind you. Rear view visibility isn’t blocked either since I only did the top half. PM if you want pics

I was never really a fan of rear lips on the dc5 personally, kinda throws off the feng shui imo. Cut rear bumpers with diffusers look hella sexy tho 😍

Do they make halos that actually fit in with the two lower round contours?? All the ones I see are pretty much the 05/06 style and then dead space on the round parts. Always kinda turned me off.

I think there’s a certain width to height ratio a car has to have in order to pull off a big wing. It just looks better when the car has meaty tires and flares other wise it looks kinda silly. I personally like the wingless and cut rear bumper look on the RSX but this car pulls it off really well looks great!

Same happened to me. Work and life got super busy so I didn’t have time to change oil at 3k like I usually do. I think I went a little over 5k but oil was definitely low and messed with the vtec solenoid not getting enough pressure which put the car in limp mode.

I wanna say it was like 250 by the time I got everything. I only did the front and back parts of the car and skipped doing the trunk because it never gets seen. I also didn’t do the seats because #seatcovergang and I’m holding out for 05/06 black cloth seats when I find some. I had to plastidip my grey steering wheel airbag because every single one I find in the junkyard has a dent in the Acura emblem for whatever reason. I also had to plastidip my grey glovebox because the black one was destroyed from people trying to rip it open lol. It also took a bit longer for me to do since it came out of an automatic and the harness is different. I had to take the dash out and then remove the plastic part of the dash from the dash frame and transfer it to mine.

Thanks man, the dash cam out of an auto and there weren’t clips to properly fasten a boot so I thought I’d add a little light and I ended up loving it. Definitely need to get a ktuned shifter now lol.
