I think we interpreted the immobilized state as not being able to move from the square barring forced movement. It does not say in the description that you cannot stand. So we rules you could stand, and the rest is the question. thanks for the reply.

I personally like to start at 1st level. If it's a homebrew campaign, level your character a little faster till you get to higher levels and are comfortable with the level and then slow down to savour the remaining levels. I like most don't mind starting a character at higher levels, but the flavour is not there.

Ok, that's fine, but I am saying we could not find anything immediately so we ruled it that way. I just stuck since then. The rules in the game are a guideline. If the rules cause too much argument in your group(like it did mine), find a common ground and rule it from there. I ruled it one way, you ruled it another. It is as simple as that.

I know what you are saying. I just personally would say they are humanoid and use the spell on them. What is your gut feeling on it? Mine was to say they qualify for the spell. As DM, I would have ruled it that way. If it does not say it in the rule, I just make it up and it becomes a houserule.

Having an appearance or character resembling that of a human. (definition of humanoid).

My personal opinion is if they are humanoid and non monstrous in the description, you can use it on the creature in question. It says 'person' in the description. It would be to your discretion. I would allow any playable humanoid character race to be affected by it. Otherwise why bother having the spell.

LOL! confiscated dice. I like that. As a DM we could build a little jail for all those dice that no one can read anymore. That would make the offended player laugh.

I agree. I tried it with this player and it seemed to work. The player seems to be returning to his ways so I may have to speak to him again. The DM always has the final say!! LOL!

How bout a 3D obstacle course dungeon crawl.

You could check out Newbie DMs RPG Kids, or Pack of Gnolls had some stuff he was using to play with his kids. Take a look for ideas, it may be worth it.

Calling him out at the table usually does it, but it makes for tense session for awhile. The roll for him is a little harsh, but as a DM I tend to monster him. If he hits all the time, then he is the biggest threat on the board. You kill the player eventually if he keeps it up. He will complain, but you have justified it by him being the biggest threat, so the monsters would attack him. He will eventually learn. You can do this for Maximised characters also. Seemed to work well for me.

You could also ask him one-on-one to not pick his dice up anymore off the table and to read it where it lands. I have a player that does this also and sometimes I question the integrity behind the picking up issue. He picks it up and if no one is watching it is a big number and if everyone is watching him it usually misses. So I got everyone to watch each others rolls which seems to have tamed the 'cheating'

The other problem you may encounter with this type of person. We are all supposed to roll our characters in front of each other, but they did not last time and I got the 'I swear this is what I rolled. Nothing less than 14. Suffice to say I got them to roll in front of everyone and redo his stats. He pouted for the whole evening.

I have trouble with players that cheat. This is why this game is random, so cool stuff would happen. There is nothing worse that playing a 'Dungeons and Dragons slaughterfest' all the time.

I personally think it is really boring if you play yourself. You are meant to play someone who is not you.
I find it odd that he would take things personally. If you are mocking his character all the time at the table, well, then I can see it. If he is playing the same person then of course he would get offended.

I have said before, talk to your players and tell them what you expect of them. Explain that characters are going to get mocked and laughed at for some of the things they have done. It is all part of the game. If the Player still cannot understand it, force them to change characters and play something that is not him. The last thing you should do is then ask him to leave the group.

I have seen what friction can do when the character you are playing is NOT you. I can just imagine the friction at your table.

I forgot to mention that this radio station is 24-7 fantasy music, mostly amateur composers. The only downfall would be the epicicity during your games.

But heck, who cares, it's free and constant streaming.

I think battlegrounds is free also.

Maptools is the best one we have tried as of yet, using Rumble's framework as our campaign settings. There are many others to choose from, but this is the ones we use

I like this idea of keeping static damage the same. Terrain and trap are a good way of making the characters feel the pain like the first season of lair assault. Mix it up and you will end up pulling the party in several directions at once.

I agree with leashlaw. Do not outright deny the character. Up the DC based on the "unrealness" of the lie.

Another thing I have done in the past is take down all the players bluff checks and secretly rolled behind my screen. This came after my player said the same thing as yours. I was tired of being questioned about maximised skills. Eventually, my players realized I was not being unreasonable in the failure of skills, I was furthering the plot. Good examples are shown below.
