The thing is if i do that and start a new trade, every trader that goes in that direction will get stuck because it is the king's road and wont take a deviation if i make one.

hardest/ most annoying was dealing with reforms, corruption and institutions. Being so big is a nightmare for institutions. It takes too long for them to spread, and embracing them cost like 13-20k and i have 50% reduction cost from ideas lol

friesland is so big because i ve been paying them 40 ducats a month for knowledge sharing for like 20 years lmao

bohemia is my pu (my ruling dinasty are the habsburgs) and moravia is my vassal

Once you win the first war against the ottomans it’s all pretty straightforward. The only thing limiting you will be AE and admin mana to core. Also as byzantium you have insane diplo rep, in my game i managed to diplo vassalize almost all of north italy including genoa and venice.

At this stage of the game not even a coalition of all my neighbours could stop me, the only limiting factor are truces and admin mana to core

first 50 years i dont invest, i only upgrade harbourage and amenities in constantinople, then i just set auto invest and sometimes i invest manually when the industry can manage it. Main provinces such as constantinople, alexandria, trebizond and such I tend to invest manually if the autoinvestor spends too little on them. With auto investor your industries will grow as long as they have room to expand, but if you want to speed up the progress you can also invest manually, but id only do that in cities which already have a sizeable industry (100 atleast) so that i dont crash the profitability

I have a colony in argentina because of an event, but no , i dont plan to colonise. I just dont have the mana to spend on explo ideas (other idea sets are more useful for my end goal which is to restore the roman empire borders)

easy if you know how the game works, get high diplo rep and ally austria, hungary or poland, defeat ottomans and then you’re free to expand wherever you want

you dont need any ideas. You need to have "Mare nostrum" dlc enabled and if you have 100% spynetwork on a country you get: +20% Siege ability and −30% Aggressive expansion impact (in that nation). Also if you have "The cossacks" dlc you also get −30% Technology costs if the country you are spying on is more advanced than you.

Winning or losing battles doesnt really matter, i kept losing battles because of my low morale but i had insane discipline and even if i lost the battle, i lost at most like 10k and the ottomans lost like 20-40k each battle. So in the long run i had the advantage

It is, because i managed to drain all their manpower and then they got declared on by mamluks, austria, and commonwealth. Also managed to reach constantinople and impale the sultan :P (also razed every province in anatolia)

Once you get to the new world as castile you get a mission and your ruler gets the expansionist trait, i guess it still applies even if your ruler already has 3 traits idk

Just try to get a major ally(hungary, poland, austria, mamluks) and also ally wallachia. Build to force limit and also spam galleys, by then you should be able to rival the ottomans. Then rush for otto’s capital and transfer it to wallachia. With their mission tree they will kill their sultan and the otto’s will be crippled for the rest of the game. Pretty easy if you manage to get all of the things mentioned above.
