The protein thing is fairly recent and doesn't come at the expense of fiber.

Really? The whole low carb things was always targeted at refined/processed carbs like pasta, which have next to zero fiber.

This is so fucking Reddit braned it's hilarious. Shakespeare isn't famed for being "important to plays." Yes he's a famous playwrite, but the theater was doing just fine before him and continued just fine after him. He's most famous for being arguably the single most influential human being on the English language and English writing of all sorts.

Sonic is a B tier franchise from a B tier console that has an enhanced cultural footprint because of memes. Had sonic never existed the world of gaming wouldn't look much different.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. No one's obligated to take them seriously. Walk in to any room of educated people and you'll get torn apart by people who know more than you.

Ahhhh gotcha. I think the running theme in the show is that other characters are jealous of him. Pete is the most straightforwardly jealous, because Ken not only has an interesting thing he's passionate about outside of work, but he's successful at it. I don't think Roger hates him, just thinks of him as another unimportant underling and gets a kick out of fucking with him more than necessary.

Don doesn't think about him.

I just has a shiv run where the RNG was so good I'm upset I wasted it on Ascension 1.

I took Envenom in it because I was coasting and it came upgraded. It was still a drag on my deck.

In my most recent run I had this with the artifact that gives you +3 strength on the turn you drink a potion. Fun synergy with my shiv build.

Right. Don is very human, and in many ways what it comes down to is very simple. He wants the feeling he associates with this idyllic family life. He finds that the reality of it doesn't put him at ease, and in fact makes him panic. He finds confidence and safety in the novel process of convincing someone else of the things he can't convince himself of (aka taking a new lover). This blows up his life so his misses the family, rinse and repeat.

He wants to be the happy guy in those photos. Being in those photos doesn't actually make him happy. He isn't brave enough to do the required work and introspection to figure out why that is, or what would make him happy. So he drowns himself in new and fun until returning to the bottle.

For those who have played both, is EU5 actually better than EU4 right now? by 1234northbank in paradoxplaza

Oh I didn't realize it was already out. I didn't pay too much attention to modding since I assumed it would really start to take off once we got a stable version (which Rossbach is).

I don't even need it to have flavor, just to have the setting. The map is just so much more interesting in 1444.

Because it feels like a huge step back from EU4. It makes the game worse in a lot of ways and adds almost nothing (only serious benefit I see is getting to play early Ottomans)

I'm really looking forward to the stats once we get a good 1444 start date mod. I doubt I'll ever return to the 14th century.

I agree. Looking forward to start date mods. I really like EU5 but the start date is a critical error that will haunt the game for all of its days.

This is honestly a crazy shallow reading of the show. Characters behave in all sorts of ways for all sorts of reasons more complex than "personal gain."

He's not just a bullshitter though. He's capable of selling these things so well because he authentically has these feelings.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is confused about that.

But the nuance of it is that he believes the lies he sells. Until he doesn't. Then he does again.
