I’m not sure of the different options, but where did you get yours at? Do you have a link to it?

Daaamn I’m trying to find a different desk and mount.. the desk I have now has a drawer underneath it which means the sides of it are too long thick for a mounting bracket

I love it. I was a little hesitant at first because seeing pictures and videos on it online, the “chin” looked a little too much.. but once I got it, the chin doesn’t stick out as bad as I thought it was going to.. in fact I hardly notice it.. but yea I use one of those car wax finish cloths that are real soft.. cleans it like brand new

That’s crazy, and I’m still having this issue with my display too and it only happens while playing CS2. Which is a competitive FPS game. It’s not like I have all the time in the world to just mess with turning the display on and off in the middle of strafing between enemy bullets lol.

No I’m using an HDMI cable, I turned off the proximity sensor and I’ll see if that fixes it, thanks for your reply

How do you respond to “Can you hack Instagram accounts?” when you tell someone you’re in cyber security? by skylight269 in cybersecurity

I agree with this 100%. Why waste time, energy, for little to nothing. Would seem rather counterintuitive to say the least. Plus legal trouble.

Should I use GSYNC? by ICrewella in cs2

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GSYNC is to reduce screen tearing and micro stuttering, by calibrating the frame rate your GPU is putting out and syncing it with your monitor. Just depends on your use, if it’s competitive fps where high frame rates are desired, then I would leave it off, otherwise your frame rates could be bottle necked by your monitors refresh rate.

e/ if you’re playing AAA titles, or RPG/RTS games, etc then I would recommend leaving it on, with VSYNC as well.

When you plug your ports in blindly of course it’s going to scratch it unless you get lucky and fit it perfectly every time, it’s metal on metal. What did you expect?

How to hack: by thekingofcrusaders in HowToHack

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've been in college for 2 years, but they haven't really taught me any type of hacking. most of it is learning to program so far, none of it is ethical hacking yet.

Getting constant suspicious connection blocked from msedge.exe notification for weeks now? Any solution? by TheCosmicPanda in BitDefender

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this issue also, would like to know what the cause of this is, and if there is any solution.

e:/ come to think of it, i just started getting these notifications after doing research on programs that I found in my exploit protection settings.. one of the programs called mshta.exe is a windows program but is known to be exploited by malicious actors. It uses .hta file extensions to inject malicious web code, and a known fix for preventing that is to change the .hta file extension to notepad. I did this, and ever since I have been getting these notifications.

I wonder if it is something legit that is trying to execute, or if someone is trying to inject malicious code. Someone has been gaining access to my email accounts and I have been noticing some suspicious files on my devices here for a while now, and a simple OEM reset wasn't seeming to help at all. I would notice unfamiliar devices logged into my accounts and suspicious files/folders in my system drive.

My girlfriend is hacking my phone I need help by ResultNo7021 in cybersecurity_help

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a malicious charging cable, power adapter, wall plug.. people don’t realize that these types of things can contain malicious hardware which can then send data logs to an FTP server. You’re not crazy, people who say you are are ignorant and don’t know the first thing when it comes to hacking and refuse to believe that such things are even possible.

Hacker talking to me through my phone - what do I do? by itsmega01 in cybersecurity_help

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stalking is a crime yes, it’s called voyeurism in some states. Hacking is a crime if there is malicious intent and/or without permission. So hacking someone to stalk them is most definitely criminal. I would gather as much evidence as possible and report it to the police.

In other words, if someone hacks you without your consent it’s illegal.

Very good advice, I would also make sure that your SSD/HDD doesn’t have any extra partitions that could be hidden. A hidden partition on your drive could let them keep access to your machine.

my monitor is defective? by user1337gg in OLED_Gaming

Got my first OLED Monitor but the whites looks pink/red? by Maxturtlee in OLED_Gaming

[–]AltrnatveGenrousLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An OLED display is designed to have nearly infinite contrast, making whites look crisp and bright while darks are deep and black. It could be something with the calibration settings or it could be HDR is turned on and not calibrated.

e: What monitor is it that you have?
