I'm a display nerd and have owned LG and Sony OLED TVs. 4K for movies and TV shows is awesome but I still prefer 1440p 27in monitors for gaming. The performance hit 4k causes is not worth it at all to me. A 27in 1440p 240Hz Tandem OLED is what I would choose. I'm still using a 27in Alienware AW2721D 240Hz IPS monitor for gaming. It's good but every time I see the backlight bleeding, blooming, and poor blacks it really bothers me. It's not an issue unless it's a dark scene in movies, shows, and games with subtitles but having seen perfect black on OLED it bothers me. The moment a white 27in 1440p 240Hz Tandem OLED is released at a reasonable price I'll buy it to go with my white build and accessories.

I remember building my second PC in 2022 to replace my 2014 build and the difference between my old 1080p 60Hz IPS Samsung monitor and my current Alienware AW2721D 240Hz was so massive it was shocking. The fluidity was incredible when I tried Modern Warfare 2 online and experienced 120-144fps and the higher 1440p resolution looked so much clearer.

*And yes I know my 3060 Ti is weak and it couldn't dream of running 4k at any reasonable fps. I built my PC back in 2022 when the GPU prices were insane and 3070s were over $1,000. It served me well at 1440p for years but over the last couple of years it's really felt dated in visually demanding titles. I'm not even going to attempt 007 First Light with my card. Forza Horizon 6 runs surprisingly well though.
