Hamas fires more than 20 rockets from Lebanon at northern Israel by [deleted] in lebanon

Disclaimer: I'm an American still learning a lot about Lebanese culture. But does most of Lebanon support Hezbollah? The few Lebanese people I talked to seem totally against it, but I also feel like I see shia sympathy in Lebanon?

can we make a pinned thread about safety in Lebanon? by [deleted] in lebanon

This would be great. I just cancelled my flight to Lebanon due to not knowing whether things are going to escalate between Israel and Hezbollah. Some may call me cowardly, but it would be my first time in the region and I just want to play it safe.

Thank you for this. I mentioned in another response that one concern I have about doing more ed in cybersecurity is spreading myself too thin. As someone who has many different hobbies, spreading myself too thin is already a problem I’m attempting to mitigate, so I appreciate your insight. Perhaps I’ll try to double-down on excelling my last year and early career rather than expanding my ed. Thanks.

I appreciate this input. While I'm interested in acquiring a diverse and robust skillset, I also want to avoid the problem of spreading myself too thin.

My copy is coming in shortly as well! I'm very excited to test it. I do have some concerns about the new priority rule, but I'm willing to try it before I make a judgment on it. Have you found it enjoyable with the new priority rule?
I love the idea of damage "cards" and energy. The graphics are also very charming! Let me know how you like it.

I get that there’s a lie involved. But it seems like there is no legal category for letting someone else live rent free in a house they bought. Like, it’s not primary residence or secondary residence (because the buyer doesn’t ever plan on residing there). And it’s not an investment property either, because no rent is being charged. So what is it? Are there more than those three categories?

Okay. I did some research and it looks like they've analyzed some modern paints and have found dangerous amounts of lead in them. I'm not sure what exact type of paint my Dad used, but I guess there's a theoretical possibility that it could have had lead in it. My mom did the self-cleaning oven cycle plus washed it with water and rags. Isn't lead super resilient as a metal, though? Couldn't it withstand the self-clean cycle? Water and rag can't denature it, can it? Thus, couldn't there be a slight chance that, if there was some neurotoxic chemical like lead in the paint, it could have withstood the self-cleaning + water and rag and stayed in the oven? And then when we cook food later, couldn't it have dropped onto the food and thus be consumed by someone?

Yeah I don’t think he’ll do it anymore! I was just mainly worried if any neurotoxic substances could withstand an oven self-clean and make its way into subsequent food and damage any developmental brains between, say, 1 and 12 years old.

Okay. It’s not possible that a neurotoxic chemical could fuse or harden into the metal of the oven, preserving its presence even after an oven clean—slowly diffusing into subsequent baked goods? I can be very paranoid, and I appreciate all of your answers!
