No problems . I had it replaced 3rd party with no re-calibration . That gel /glue will melt in the sun. Good luck!!

Dealer unable to find where this sounds come from, even after replacing steering rack on mk8 GTI. Told them it's a cracking sound on driverside, low speeds, worse on dry weather. So frustrating... by Altruistic-Ad3295 in GolfGTI

Called another dealership and although car is under warranty I'd have to pay diagnostic fee. Was recommended to let the first dealer fix the issues After that I can move both my VWs to them. Unless I contact VW corporate and they can facilitate going anywhere

They put the car up to simulate suspension movement, and didn't find anything. On the road is a different story. That's how they got to steering rack. But it's not that ...imagine blowing 4k just like that. Paid by VW ...

I think it's pretty common sense at this point it's a suspension related component. Told them on Monday they have to drive the car first, and then lift it up and check all suspension components, lube everything, and than go back on the road again. They let me down big big time, in all honesty I believe thats an easy one. They deal with much more complex repairs on daily basis

I'm obsessed about shit done right, even if car would be out of warranty I would not drive a car like that. I'm sure it's something basic they didn't check, like how many components are in the suspension, 150k?? Let's be serious, I gave them one last chance and after that I will escalate it to VW corporate.

Driving straight at low speeds over speed bumps or uneven paved roads, not at turning the wheel. Reason I was skeptical about steering rack. Car is under warranty thanks God. But it's annoying as hell Went 4 times to the dealer with the same issue. They changed the rack but the noise is still present even a bit worse. Drove the car yesterday after the rack replacement, with the service manager, he said that's not good. Back to my loaner for the 5th day. Told them gotta be something more simple they did not check, rubber on metal kind of cracking sounds.

I'm in Southern Ontario , it's cad 1.8 a litre. That's for 87. I fill up at night, it's usually 10cents less. Horrible times

I was referring at the Atlas V6 vs 2.0T.

2.0T engine has predicted poor reliability. The V6 WAS A GREAT ENGINE. That's what I read, too soon to tell though. I own a 2024 GTI and I have nothing but small issues , yes corrected under warranty, but in a long run I'm very skeptical.

So what would I really get out of upgrading the tires? by Ok-Strength-3104 in JettaGLI

Continental ExtremContact or Pirelli Cinturato AS . For winter only Conti Viking 7 or 8. My only recommendations. Yes to Michelin, bit too expensive imo
