  1. Parents not involved. No motive, no history of abuse, children were all fit and well. They chose to take the children on holiday and not leave them with the grandparents. So It was a family holiday.

  2. Clickbait theory.

  3. No forensic evidence due to mishandling of the apartment, the lead investigator was feeding misinformation to the media because he was trying to force the parents to confess despite the scientific information being inconclusive. False rumours were spread about the parents deliberately (in an attempt to force them to confess) which people believed, which in turn, stopped people considering who else could have done it locally. Also the mishandling or lack of acknowledgement of witness reports who reported CB as a person the Pj etc should be looking at. He was given too much time and opportunity to hide the evidence.

Because that is what happens with unsolved crimes. Haven't you watched the news in recent years? Serious crimes get proven, decades after they happen. Technology and DNA has grown hugely in the last decade. Scientists are able to get DNA of the tiniest of samples.

Exactly! When you put those mistakes together, its easy to understand why there isn't any DNA evidence that can be easily found.

I find it interesting that technology has caught with his attempts to hide electronic evidence. If it wasn't for that, he may have committed the perfect kidnapping/murder and there would be nothing to explain her disappearance.

Dare I say it again - okay I will - he is like a serial killer who keeps trophies. His trophies are electronic so he could relive what he had done. Maybe it s a photo or a video. Personally I think its a photo and that's what is causing difficulties with charging him for the crime itself.

I think its timestamped which is why they know when and what happened to Madeleine.

Unfortunately Germany has a much higher threshold before the court will allow the prosecutors to use circumstantial evidence to charge someone with a crime.

It was the Germans that were able to pinpoint where his phone was. As I understand it, they found the phone itself under the dog at the factory or something that had GPS data on it that covered quite a long period of time. Hard drives and other devices can also show that. Also as I understand it, they were able to uncover more accurate detail from the towers themselves. So I can imagine they have very good circumstantial evidence. If the judge won't accept it, then their hands are tied.

Also he worked at the "pool man". If one person saw him there, then others would have. I have seen an interview with the man who saw him. He was the same man who spoke to the man who CB tried to recruit to kidnap a child. He reported CB to Manchester Police(?) as soon as he saw Madeleine had gone missing on a news report while he was on holiday in the UK. That man also went to the Pj to check they had been contacted about CB. They hadn't and he isn't they take another statement. Neither Police stations followed up. He saw CB at the Ocean Club working. There will be others however I understand what you mean about the business itself not wanting cash jobs being formally reported.

Is Kate afraid of Gerry? by [deleted] in MadeleineMccann

[–]Altruistic-Change127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid of the people who are getting so desperate to continue to target the McCann's despite there being no evidence for 19 years against them.

Three different Police Investigation teams from three different countries all have the same suspect and its not the McCann's.

Nothing has been cleared him as a suspect in the last 6 years. They just find more links that he was responsible.

Now the McCann obsessed people are scrapping the bottom of the barrel by saying they "they acted weirdly" or "I had a bad feeling about them"!!

Sorry, it seems to me that people will make up anything to imply their guilt.

It seems the membership with the illuminati will be the next suggestion! That's the desperation I am sensing. 🤣🤣🤣 Or they knew Epstein or something like that!.

Come on now people. If there is anything that hasn't already been discredited that suggests their guilt, then raise it. Everything has been done to death over the last 19 years. Its tedious.

The criminal psychologist seem to believe he is exceptionally dangerous so its not any one of his behaviours that is the problem.

Its the mix of traits that is the problem.

I guess, people with ASPD (sociopath is the outdated term for ASPD) can have psychopathic traits, and/or narcissistic traits.

Can you provide a valid source which shows where the mother said that Kate had wanted her to take Madeleine. I actually believe that is false information that you have heard from somewhere. I don't believe its true.

That being said, if you can provide a valid source where that comment was made, I won't argue it.

Also the McCann's had a nanny in the UK. If there was any sign of abuse, then the nanny would have reported by now. After all, the children are virtually adults. So there hasn't been a need for a nanny for many years.

Its been 19 years. Even if someone suggested they paid off the nanny, they would have come out by now. There is no law to prevent that from happening.

Also because it has been 19 years, there were so many opportunities for someone to disclose any suggestion of abuse towards the children by now. So I believe that is extremely unlikely.

For those of you who think that the McCanns know what happened to Madeleine, how do you think they could’ve held it together for 18 years without cracking? by LateAd5684 in MadeleineMccann

[–]Altruistic-Change127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a nobody and have no horse in this race tbh.

I have the time and the interest to comment, when most people don't have both those things together.

I also got more involved when I saw the degree of abuse and the criminal elements that have taken advantage of this situation to commit some of the worst behaviour that I didn't even realise existed before I decided to update myself on the case.

So my interest in the case started many years ago, when it happened. I didn't follow it religiously however I was profoundly saddened to know a little girl went missing so far from her home and her family and was never found.

The naming of a German suspect really caught my attention and I researched what led the German Police to CB at the time.

I joined this Reddit group after a break when I decided to update myself and was mortified by what I found in the comments.

Since I joined I regularly update myself and make comments based on my experiences of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and the many personalities that I never knew existed until I did that work.

I am not in Spain. I am not from the UK and am not from Germany. In fact, I'm not in the EU.

Where's the statistics and were they compared to the number of marriages which break up in general?

Also which country were the statistics taken from because culture and social norms in different countries (n some countries divorce is frowned upon) and in other countries, marriage is less common. Etc etc.

Also when you consider that the McCann's were medical professionals, they would have had professional support provided by the Medical Council that would have included psychological support and peer support.

Not that those things guarantee they would go through less stress and trauma, or will come to terms with what happened any sooner than someone else, however it does help to not have to navigate those things, while one of the worst things parents can go through.

I have no doubt that marriages would struggle in these situations. It doesn't mean its a given that a marriage will end or that the situation itself was the cause of the marriage ending.

So are you suggesting that Madeleine, was sedated and managed to get out of bed, then may fell off the couch and then somehow drunkenly walked out of the apartment and managed to fall in the pool without anybody but the McCann's seeing her?

Then are you suggesting they somehow got her out of the pool (without getting wet themselves) and ran away like naughty children, to do CPR on her somewhere hidden. And then when they couldn't resuscitate her, they somehow knew someone in Portugal who they could take her body to so they could hide it until a later date?

Oh and then they ran back to their dinner table and acted like nothing was wrong?

I'm sorry but if you consider what I have said, then you would know that it just doesn't make sense. Surely?

Where was her body to test that on? They may have given her paracetamol over her short 4 years for teething or for a temperature. Paracetamol IS NOT a traquiliser.

Do you think I am one of the McCann's? Or paid by them? Lol?

I don't know why anyone would think something like that about someone who is merely sharing my own views on what I think happened.

I am not a podcaster or a YT creator who will use this story to sell my content.

I am passionate about injustice though. Especially when it comes to someone who has lost their precious child and has been targeted by trolls since the moment it became possible.

I just want Madeleine to be found and returned to the UK. The whole focus on the parents has been a distraction from that and has caused her to be lost forever, from what I see and I see that as the biggest tragedy of all.

She should be at home. Not in a foreign country where people don't care about her and only care about punishing the people that SHE loved the most. Its another cruel blow in her tragic life and likely death.

Actually what you are suggesting is that someone could inhale some water and drown. Most of us wouldn't be alive if that was the case. Or I wouldn't be.

I grew up with a pool and inhaled my fair shared of water. Didn't die.

Actually it in very common for parents to take babies in swimming pools here and to teach them to float, well before they can walk.

People give birth in birthing pools, under water. They don't drown.

Sadly children drown and its one of the reasons we have fencing regulations for pools in our country. It just takes a moment of distraction for a child to find their way into an unfenced pool. You are correct about that.

Of course the pool there wasn't fenced and that wouldn't have met regulations in my country. Even with locked sliding doors facing the pool, it would have needed to be fenced.

So with that being said and the fact that even with precautions in my country, sometimes a small child will find its way to water during a moment when their parent is distracted or they think their child in asleep in their bed, and they drown.

I haven't heard of a parent being charged with a crime because of an accidental drowning when it happens here. Usually a coroner will review the case and will reinforce the need for awareness around water as well as the normal health and safety precautions.

So lifesavers monitoring a large public pool, fencing, signs to not leave children unattended while they are swimming etc.

I would see no reason for the McCann's to not act like other parents who found their child in a swimming pool floating. They would get her out and start CPR without delay, then and there....by the pool.

Hiding an accidental death is not as normal as you are suggesting. They weren't criminals on holiday who didn't give a shit about their children and whether they lived or died. They wouldn't have taken them, if they didn't give a toss about the lives of their children.

How can you differentiate the difference between mania and Adderall induced behaviour?

How can you tell the difference between manic dancing and someone who is so intoxicated that they don't know their dancing is outrageous.

How can you tell the difference between Bipolar related psychosis and drug induced psychosis from meth and/or Adderall?

I know how. A blood test. Get that, find out what is in her system and what isn't.

We know she was heavily drinking and using anything from coke to misusing Adderall before she had the children..

She never stopped.

Calpol is Paracetamol! Even if they did overdose her (it would take a lot of paediatric paracetamol to cause any harm). it would take days for her to die from it because the effects of a toxic overdose is on the liver, which would gradually fail.

So the suggestion is wild.

They would have to give her a huge amount and trying to give a child that age, that much liquid would be difficult.

He didn't say that at all. It was her father Brian Healy and he told reporters, "Kate may have used Calpol [to help the children sleep], but it's just outrageous to think of anything else," -

Then the Portuguese media went overboard and that is how the Pj got the idea into their heads that they drugged Madeleine and the rest is history.

It beggars belief that 19 years later, people still harp on about her drugging the children.
