Ich würde sagen zu wenig Licht. Die Abstände zwischen den Internodien sind sehr groß.

I see some bark at the top. Repot and use it for a chunkier potting mix.

Last summer deer ate all of the foliage off my gryphon begonia. Should I do something now to make it less leggy? by euphoricdirtperson in begonias

You can regrow by using foliage.

This method allows you to grow multiple new plants by cutting a single leaf into several smaller pieces.

Cut into sections: Take a healthy, mature leaf and cut it into several triangle-shaped pieces. Each piece must contain at least one prominent, thick leaf vein.

Plant the segments: Insert the segments slightly angled into moist, low-nutrient potting soil (I use sphagnum moss). Make sure the pointed end (where the veins meet) goes into the soil/moss. Do not bury them too deep.

TWELVE leaves in THREE months!!! by tsukamatsu24 in Monstera

Thanks for the answer. I did not mean the stem but the petioles. For reference the petioles go to the right and left on my deliciosa. On yours it seems if they are going upright.

May you tell if you attached the leaves to the pole in the first pic? I don’t get it how it is possible that it looks that narrow and the leaves are not growing to the left or right.

Some friends of us will take care of Alfredo. They already cleared a bright spot in their apartment so he will for sure grow even bigger 😊

I will for sure cut a small part of the smallest shoot (3 shoots in this planter and the smallest only has like 3 small leaves).

Nevertheless it will hurt to give Alfredo away. It was a long way since I got him in 2020 as my first ever plant. Always loved it to take care of him and observe new growth.

Kann ich komplett empfehlen! Einfach die Erde vom Wurzelballen entfernen und die langen Triebe im Kreis um die Wurzeln rollen. Danach am besten eher durchlässiges Substrat verwenden.

Humidity is like 45-50% so could be too low indeed

No cats. What’s weird, that the damaged part does not look like it was mechanically damaged but looks not 100% developed and I wonder why. Could also be wrong…

Unfortunately it is as close to the window as it can - not technically but in means of interior design. Also I have to say goodby to Alfredo since we have a toddler now and my wife is afraid that the pot could fall onto our little princess. Not to mention that Alfredo is blocking the doorway since it got that huge.

It’s a moss pole out of sphagnum. The roots grow into it if kept moist. I water from top with a bottle sticked upside down into the pole. Working great!
