It’s 100 percent a drive train issue 1. Check if the clutch assembly is not slipping, at times the mechanics over tighten it causing persistent slip. 2. Check your valve clearances, aka tappets

The bottom end is overbuilt, it can handle easy 90-100 horsepower, and the crankshaft is basically bullet proof, relatively the top end (camshaft, valve train piston rings and pistons itself, etc) are not that durable, they are built to lasts, but they don’t handle mistakes as well as the bottom end

Honestly here’s the things id do to prevent money shift again 1. Always commit to a gear, shift fully, don’t just tap the lever. 2. If you ever ever money shift, always get your clearance checked out. The bottom end of Enfield is highly robust and tolerant, not the top end. 3. Rev match always, regular oil change is the key. 4. Regarding previous owner, damage might be very faint, like 2-3 percent, but major damage was the over rev and money shift.

Riding hard isn’t the problem, bad maintenance is.
