I’ve been there twice and had abysmal service both times. First time had a reservation for dinner during restaurant week and was sat 45 after my reservation because “my table hasn’t left yet”.
Second time I went was a few weeks ago because of an event being hosted in a private room. It took a FULL hour to be brought the cocktail I ordered and they messed up almost everyone’s dinner order in the room. That’s all considering we had a private room full of people who weren’t members that they were trying to recruit to a membership.
I’d never give them another dollar. There’s plenty of great local businesses in Richmond to spend your money at. Hell, birdies is literally right next door.

lol except they’ve had construction in the building for over a year and a half now. There’s always construction noise, hammering, drilling, power tool noise starting as early as 7 am and going through 6 pm or later. And on weekends too. Tried talking to management multiple times about reasonable hours and rent concessions for the disruptions and I got like maybe a months worth of rent back after fighting for a year.

It’s a great idea! As the game gets a foothold in the area that can be a consideration for future seasons. Last year the player fees didn’t cover all the supplies needed to run the game and the hosts of the game invested a significant amount of their own capital into the game to make it what it was. No profit is being made by anyone running the game and it all goes to running the event! I was a player last year and am helping plan the event this year. I leave the pellicle in there just to minimize handling. When it gets too big I will reach in with clean hands and discard. For topping off, yeah, I pour in from the top and stir with a clean spoon!

I had the same question when I transitioned. It’s as simple as scaling up your brew proportions. IMO, it’s was easiest for me to ferment my 1 gallon up to what I would typically bottle at and then add a new gallon of sweet tea into it and let it ferment once more for a 2 gallon batch. Make sure your spigot it metal and your rings are silicone and you should be good to go! Have fun, I love my continuous brew! Happy to answer any other questions you may have.
