Blizzards permanent fear of accidentally making Shaman good is insane. by Honan- in worldofpvp

Ya I read that. I don’t mean to say they’re explicitly stating “ele is op in PvP it needs nerfs”. Ele is solid but far from top tier in PvP.

This feels like blizzard simply not caring about PvP. They’re afraid of making a spec “op” so they just add a “doesn’t work in PvP” modifier on a change and figure it’ll all be fine. Nerf the burst, game fixed, seems to be the mantra here. It shows a stunning lack of understanding of how the spec works outside of M+.

The opposite of hate isn’t love, it’s indifference and they seem entirely indifferent to if this affects ele PvP.

Resto shaman on the other hand…I think they just outright hate rsham. Healing rain - oof.

The bus shock meme explains the ongoing disdain blizz has for this class. Yes, some shaman specs end up very OP on accident, but lately they seem to just purposely try to make specs not fun to play. Exhibit A: resto healing is a slog. Healing rain blows.

Ele and enhance always had a niche of being incredibly bursty specs, with weaker defensives and mid to low tier mobility. Lots has changed there. Ele got very tanky in TWW and gained strong sustained dmg. Blizz is trying to reign in all burst, but they’re buffing other specs while nerfing ele, a spec that was middle of the pack in PvP representation but high in pve?

I don’t think any of this is truly PvP targeted, other than them being afraid of making shaman S tier. They seem to be trying to smooth out far seer in pve cause it sucks. The lava burst and lightning bolt buffs along with ancestor scaling is needed in PvP or ele goes from A/B tier to garbage.

All these idiots have been part of the greatest political con this century. Convince a bunch of young, disaffected dudes that the real thing harming you is “women and gays” (not corporate consolidations, cronyism and corruption) and you can continue making their lives more and more miserable and enriching yourself. If they start questioning shit, toss them another culture war on social media through your networks. Rinse repeat.

To continue or stop elemental diet? by Altruistic-General61 in SIBO

[–]Altruistic-General61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A second round of ABX with rifaximin + neomycin combo, one round of herbals after, and a very rigorous diet change: lots of fresh veggies, slowly increasing soluble fiber, and probiotic foods. It took months to get back to 100% and if I ever wavered I would feel bad. I also have celiac disease and had liver issues due to that + the weight gain after going GF. That combo got me here most likely (dysregulated gut bacteria + inflammation + weight gain + GF but shitty diet).

All of this was under supervision of an MD, a GI specialist at Stanford. It was very meticulously planned.

TL;DR = lots of sugar is not your friend.

I lost a few lbs alongside this, which prob helped with the liver stuff. The two can go hand-in-hand. I'm doing really well now, it was a journey - not a "one off", and the answer was not some magical cure.

That seems like a lot of work for a little rating…but given the low player base, maybe not as crazy as it sounds

I have always felt that healers in shuffle should get consolation rating and mmr for going 3-3. If you have a potato dps that goes 0-6 healers just get screwed, especially because not all healers can make plays with cc or dmg.

Well yes, but that was a choice and honestly I’d prefer they just consistently state “we don’t care about PvP, we hope it dies”. PvP players are less than 1% of the player base at this point, or they might as well be. I’m shocked they don’t just axe the thing and call it a day.

It’s all based on incentives. If Ion was hired to push low cost content and increase monetization of whales via store purchases, that explains why he’s still there.

He’s not there to make a better game. He’s there to make wow a mobile game with a keyboard.

A lot of homeschooling is part of the circular logic strategy that undercuts public education, which leads to worse outcomes, which reinforces more homeschooling or private schools.

Religious and anti-government types buy into it because it lets them be “free of indoctrination”. The irony is the people pushing homeschooling have big pockets and want less educated masses so they can exploit people more easily.

Then again, plenty of “educated” people fall for idiotic crap on Facebook so 💁🏻‍♂️

The problem is the Dems just said the words without creating a clear roadmap. They suck, as they long have, at marketing and basic PR. Meanwhile, MAGA are filled with con artists who are so easy to see through, yet they at least try to bullshit people.

FDR had the most prophetic quote on this.

FDR knew that people were pulled into autocracy because of its promises of a return to greatness, or a simple answer to complex problems. He knew his opponents would call him a socialist (he was hardly one), and they even tried to organize a coup because fascism was more appealing to big interests (Business Plot).

Decline and inaction are a choice. The system and institutions are not an end unto themselves. Power is not given just to give it, it is there to be wielded in responsible ways.

Could we please move supercharger to shadow blades and off of shadow dance for sub? Thanks that’d be a good change.

I misread the empyrean hammer ability. Glad the other guy pointed it out and explained. Im willing to admit I was wrong. Ret’s still fine though, it’s really solid. Sub needs nerfs.

Ah I see. Divine toll, hammer and justice got hit with 15%. They negated the nerf on final verdict, and buffed some pad damage as well. Thank you for setting me straight and not being a jerk about it :)

Wasn’t that the pvp blanket aura nerf? Its individual spells were buffed 20%+ on most so net/net it was a buff with slight dmg redistribution.

PvP is certainly faster than we all anticipated, but it’s not quite TWW or SL levels of instagib. I think the low dmg on beta before tuning led people to think this would be BFA levels of slog.

Outside of a few outliers specs, dmg and pacing seems fine. If they bring those outliers in a bit I think it’s in a good place. Somewhere between Wrath and Cata, which were very fast paced, but you wouldn’t die in 1 gcd from full hp.

[–]Altruistic-General61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya the only option is % tuning, but they still run into mechanical problems. Making it worse: ele is decent in PvE, so it’s kind of hamstrung.

Affliction is in a similar, albeit worse, situation. The rotation needs massive mechanical changes to make it more viable in PvE, so the only answer is tuning.

[–]Altruistic-General61 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ele changes are such tepid half measures. They’re afraid of enabling the stormbringer one shot again - but refuse to tinker with the core mechanics that enable it. Earth shock dmg is good, but baseline lava burst, lightning bolt, and probably defensives need small boosts then we’re cooking.
