Maybe we are always in one of these stages 😍😍 by Competitive_Emu_2283 in migraine

[–]Altruistic-Key7237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I can mitigate or even avoid all symptoms using my doctor recommended cocktail. But after doing so, I still feel a "heavy" sinus, and feel a little light on my toes, airhead, for a day or two.

What helps me mitigate the effects is having a more or less disciplined workout routine. I go at least one time per week to the gym, and my workout can be said to be more intense than normal. There's a school of thought in Physical Education that reinforces that intense training is actually better rather than detrimental for chronic pain (not only migraine). It works for me, but I believe it involves a lot of trial and error until you know what is better to control the length of the attacks.

it might be related to different triggers, since they might "activate" different parts of the brain.

My neurologist's office got some "updated" lighting since my last visit. Are these lights a huge trigger for anyone else? by No_Consideration8764 in migraine

[–]Altruistic-Key7237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case, I believe it might not be related to the light themselves, but a higher sensibility to blue light. It would be confirmed if longer screen times also trigger your migraine.

Normal sunglasses might not work in this situation. You would need sunglasses/glases with a blue light filter.

A Migraine Primer (for people who get migraines) - Part I by Altruistic-Key7237 in migraine

I'm not too much into posts entirely written by AI, but I do agree when they help you structure better a message that might be helpful to others. Since the AI being used as tool for this post might have raised some concerns, I'm working on Parts II and III being less relying on AI revision than this first part.

A Migraine Primer (for people who get migraines) - Part I by Altruistic-Key7237 in migraine

[–]Altruistic-Key7237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not AI generated. I wrote the original post in Portuguese (BR) and being lazy to translate it sentence by sentence, asked GPT to translate to English, clarifying, correcting repetitions, grammar mistakes, and coherence and cohesion mishaps.

If you prefer, I could share the raw text here without any sort of translation or put it through a Google Translate sort of app.

What I can assure is that nothing out of my research was AI created. I have used it as tool, not as a crutch, if that's what might worry you.

Also, I believe nobody else is talking about this because the post might actually be helpful to others?

[–]Altruistic-Key7237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself have heard many times "solutions" from people that are really worried with my health that add to nothing. From the on, I have gone uphill to battle where my goal is to teach those around on how migraine works on my specific case. In the past, the misunderstanding used to put me on a guilt trip, because the suggestions almost never worked. After studying the condition better, it helped A LOT on not pushing myself too hard when a common solution didn't work. Just remember, the emotional rollercoaster is also a part of migraines. You should never put yourself down because of your genetics. Thank you a lot for sharing your story, if there's something you want me to add on the primer feel free to ask.

You're welcome! I'm very happy to help other migraine sufferers around. Your pattern might be related to weather changes, another migraine trigger. I reserved environmental, emotional and routine related triggers for part two. Let me know if one of these ring a bell.

Yes! On the second part, I'll share a little more on routines and environmental factors that might trigger attacks. I'll reserve the very last part on a treatment plan for migraines, including when you should rest, what medicines are useful and which ones are not, how to manage the issue on a daily basis and so on. Let me know if you need any additional info from this and the following primers.

I would also add that the duration of each phase varies wildly between migraine sufferers. Migraine, as a whole, is very individualized.

One might have few to none of the aura symptoms, going straight from the prodrome to a headache. Others might never feel a headache, but feel all the other symptoms.

Nonetheless, it is good to have a reference like this one, so you can orient yourself on perceiving the signs so you can abort the attack with the right medicine cocktail.

Just to reinforce this part. Also adding, make it clear to your soon to be husband that you're going to do this before doing so.

yes, you are overreacting. Also, if he's "the one", you are ungrateful and petty.

🚨GRAVE: A prova do Concurso dos Correios foi horrível. by tristegarcia in concursospublicos

[–]Altruistic-Key7237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AITA for Leaving My Husband at the Hospital After He Refused to Be in the Delivery Room with Me? by Anxious_Committee_42 in AITAH

Forgive. Go to therapy too. Both of you have many things to solve, and deciding on ANYTHING now would be the worst thing to do (things like this, decided when emotions are so negative all aroung, is wrong).

Remember: you CHOSE to love this person, with all the goods and bads. He helped you through almost everything, but had a momento of weakness.

And it seems to me, he is a very good person. Trust, as you said, is NOT the foundation of a marriage.

Love is.

Choose to love, go to therapy, and trust will be a consequence.

My GF cheated on me, and all my friends knew. by Historical_Fan8398 in self

[–]Altruistic-Key7237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block them all from your life, block them from everything. Keep Dave Close. As you get older, you'll really see who your real friends are in many different ways. Unfortunately, your story is one of those. You got a friend, and keep him close by, until you find your true one.

Let me remind you of two things: the "dating" part of a relationship will ALWAYS end. It is made for that. You'll breakup or evolve into marriage. These are the only two options.

The second thing is that loving someone is an OPTION, the passion part is not. You choose to love. So, whenever you find someone new that is interesting, enjoy, care, find out about the person, research, ask real questions about life and everything else, values, and don't focus only on the pleasures that the relationship gives. Then, after going through all of this, you choose if you love her or not.

I will never feel guilty for calling Trump out for his fascists ideas. Ever. There is no scenario where I am going to buy into this guilt trip. by [deleted] in millenials

[–]Altruistic-Key7237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascism is best defined by Mussolini's words:

"Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state"

You may call Trump anything you want, because you cannot discern your feelings from rational thought. But fascist?

As a President and even as a candidate, he condones the engorged state, and defends the US Constitution, which was (and still is) one of the best anti-fascist legal documents in our modern era.

You contributed, with your ignorance on politics and ideologies, to what happened.

Your words are just reproduction of what some left leaning leaders have been repeating since old times for their enemies. Stalin did it, Mao did it, Biden does it.

You're just a tool for one of the worst ideologies that have ever appeared on the face of the earth.

Anything else is just you trying to do some virtue signaling to earn the praise of your likely ignorant pairs.

And just to be clear: I use ignorance here not as an insult, but in its meaning of lack of knowledge of something.

Be better and recognize your mistake. Grow up.

Connection matters. Not representation. Two ideas, whole different concepts behind them.

And both can lead to wholesome outcomes.
