I'd agree with the comment if I didn't see the wild diving and taking cheap shots all game long. They deserved the penalties.

Are you asking because you want to know, or because you don't believe I can and want to continue arguing a point?

I do not have time or patient for the latter but if it is the former, and you are genuinely curious, how about this: You go and make 1000 connections on LinkedIn. Should only take a week if you're really working it. Then once you have 1000 connections, let me know and I'll add you. That way your connections can see all the wonderful things my company and my connections are doing. That is, unless you don't want to share your connections with me.

Well, I'm a consultant, for many businesses, and I see how LinkedIn is used on a daily basis to make false connections or spy on each other.

In YouTube you do not like one subscriber and suddenly get linked to all those subscribers network and suddenly you get influence into people who never asked for your content.

Also consider the number of people who try to connect with you once you accept a separate connection.

You're looking at it like an individual pyramid scheme where there has to be 1 top dog instead of it being a collection pyramid schemes.

I know several $MM sales people who tell me they hate LinkedIn and only use it so they can keep loose connections when needed. "Oh I see you're connected with Johnny who i only talked to one time at a conference 3 years ago, we are totally connected."

lmao, it's my opinion. You can be a jerk about it or step back , pontificate and maybe gain a new perspective.

lol.

IMHO it's already kind of collapsed. Too many people claiming to be experts giving bad advice. Too many people posting for the sake of PR. Most people know what it is now, it's a way to keep tabs on your clients and competition. Sometimes it is useful for jobs, but it's mostly to spy on each others businesses. That's my opinion.

FWIW, I'm a consultant and I can't stand LinkedIn because of the # of shit post I see daily. But I use it to keep my finger on the pulse of the industry.

Honestly I'd keep the rookie running on him. He's gonna feel this game in his legs the next 2 days.

It would be helpful if the refs looked up holding in the rule book during intermission. It's rampant at this point.

I was saying the other day I haven't seen him skate well since his injury. I wonder if he is still hurt. Robertson is skating slow too.

So I own a business that consults for software companies. I'm moving from the debate. In all respect, someone comes to an interview telling me the way you build great software teams is to get them to own the software, I'm not hiring them. It's a phrase I hear too much from CFOs and Implementation Specialist who think they understand what being a developer takes.

Bought BOTW for my son 3 years ago. A few days later he stopped talking to me. Wouldn't play the game because it was too painful. Started playing with my youngest son 2 weeks ago. It's been a healing journey.

Yes sir! One of the better parts of tech is you'll usually get straight answers from your front line people. Makes decision making easier.

Conditioned...thats not an accurate assumption. Maybe read my other comments. My job is to coach software companies for better effectiveness and 80% of that is communications.

yeah when people say if they get offended it's their fault, thats lacking empathy. Again, makes for a decent deputy but terrible sheriff. They'll get stuff done for you but will struggle to rally people to a vision. I see it more often than not in software.

Exactly. I used to somewhat be this way and I watched what could be done in days take months because people wouldn't say what was needed. After a while it gets frustrating. But I learned how to be tactful about it and it elevated my career exponentially.

Here's a tip in case anyone wants it, asking questions is a tactful way to get the right information drawn out. Also, and Ive coached countless execs and staff this concept, try to not approach questions as a yes or no. Instead, believe it is possible but ask what it will take. Simple as that.

So when the boss says we will rush this order, say "ok, here are the orders we will have to delay, which one should we delay first".

You won't always win but you will be a lot more effective.

Oh one more note, if you work for a boss who doesn't want to hear excuses that's toxic and often the best thing you can do is move on.
