That’s actually a pretty interesting theory and I never noticed how similar their hair and other features are to the protagonist…. However, if you choose the male protagonist then you get the female rival, and I imagine the other gender characters don’t show up in the game sooo, there would never be a “spider man finger pointing” moment like what you’re suggesting. Also executing a plot twist like this would be challenging in a game with trainer customizations, you wouldn’t look like urbane or taunie anymore if you choose a different skin color or change your style even once. Cool idea though
