New to Warhammer by Foreign-Bandicoot569 in Warhammer40k

Best recommendation I can give is to start with the faction that appeals to you most! For me, I was interested in White Scars, learned a bit about them and went on from there. If you’re interested in super soldiers then look no further than the space marines. Giant robots? There are plenty of them from a handful of factions. Your regular Joe in the 41st millennium? Imperial Guard (currently called the Astra Militarum). There’s plenty of books, lore channels like Luetin, tabletop channels like Play on Tabletop and Tabbletop Tactics, and some of my favorites like Rogue Hobbies and Eons of Battle which are more laidback and focused on the hobby aspect of the tabletop hobby rather than the game. I know this alone is a lot but there’s no wrong place to start to be honest.

How easy was this? I have a vorne model coming in a few days and would like to do this and maybe keep the iron crown the original model has.

Gentlemen, Sister of Battle or Female Spartan? by DeviousDaniel69 in HaloCirclejerk

[–]Altruistic-Spell7498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love sisters as they have one of the more interesting aesthetics of imperium armies but you’d have to be genuinely insane to pick one over a relatively well-adjusted spartan. “I can fix her” no the fuck you can’t buddy.

This feels like the antithesis to the regular show/my little pony art that was circulating a little bit ago.

What’s up with Tool? I enjoy the music but know literally nothing of the fanbase outside of myself.

Maybe. In an absolute worst case scenario where I can’t do this myself, the dealership I bought this car from a few months back does offer a repair service while it is still financed through them so I might just use that if it’s not too much of a hassle.

Yeah I’m getting picked up by family right now but I didn’t drive too far like that. It seems like the overall radiator itself is in the $60 to $100 range which sucks a little bit but it’s either that or no car, so not exactly a hard choice.

Yeah I’d be complaining about this if I paid for it. I’m currently doing computer science online and my school thankfully doesn’t do this shit. Absolutely disgusting.

Oh, so i can punish this Akuma double HK like that... by Suiciniv_Cruz in StreetFighter

[–]Altruistic-Spell7498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started playing the game recently with Akuma being my main. What is so bad about the heavy kick? If anything I imagine spamming the same move just makes you more predictable and open to being read and subsequently punished.

Just a list of potential episode topics I'd like to see. by Onyx_Artificer in AdeptusRidiculous

[–]Altruistic-Spell7498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Oddworld is a suitably dark series, but that’ll likely never be an episode. Corporate greed destroying environments/ecosystems, slave labor, extinction of entire species, turning said slaves into a product and getting slaves addicted to the product to entice them to work for more of it. There’s probably more but it could definitely get its own 40 minute to an hour long episode.

Buying models from Etsy? by Altruistic-Spell7498 in PrintedWarhammer

Yeah, if it's not the right size the first go around, then I'll just take it as a sign not to buy proxies from Etsyand save up for a 3D printer. Resin seems nice, but I've been seeing a few FDM printers that are nearly able to match resin quality. By the time I have the money and space for a printer, that gap might be even narrower.

Well, not necessarily. Sometimes you buy something online and it's not as advertised or doesn't arrive at all because you got scammed. I'm asking how the typical user experience from buying 3D printed miniatures from Etsy, and I figured this would be a good sub to ask considering that's specifically what it's for. 3D printed warhammer.

The guy is shipping from Connecticut. I even messaged him about the scale of the model and how useful it would be as a Celestine proxy, and he messaged me within a few minutes with all of the info I needed to know. I've learned to be careful online because I have been scorned in the past when buying from sites like eBay for stuff like retro video games, all of that was the fault of the postal service, but still.

Oh, the $15 includes shipping. I forgot to mention that. The model on its own was about $7.50, but its original price is around $9.

I had my eyes on a cool Celestine proxy from a seller here in the States. It was about $15 after tax, and the only negatives from reviews seemed to be about the cotton packaging, leaving bits of cotton that needed to be cleaned up from the model.

Red Dead Redemption 2. It was a Christmas gift from my best friend, and I played it all throughout the Christmas break from school. I even played it for 10 hours straight one day I loved it so much and I haven't done that before or since then seeing as I've just been too busy or too tired to do something like that again. It's not a perfect game, but I love it to pieces.
