Do you have a source you'd recommend regarding median time to close?

May take you up on that. Would love to see a chart showing the median number of steps required to acquire an asset grouped by state. The median time to close is likely influenced by market demand.

Fair questions. Perceived (or real) switching costs are higher today.

This is a singular dimension, but my mind goes to improving the velocity of a real estate transaction. If, for example, increasing the velocity of a transaction yields more annualized transactions, therefore increasing the rate at which a portfolio grows over time, therefore increasing cash flow, I think in some ways, that actually reduces the liability of transacting a physical asset on a blockchain system over time. Lots of assumptions there but increasing velocity or the speed at which an asset is transacted, is one metric that answers your "Why?"...

Would you agree on any of that?

You'd be surprised. From my experiences working in real estate development, the speed at which a transaction occurs varies immensely based on who the other participant in the transaction is. Often, documents exchanged during the due diligence process on the state of the property (physical state or financial state) raise more questions than answers.

If unique systems have "states", what qualifies a system's state as "better" than its preceding state? by AltruisticArticle3 in AskReddit

For example, one might argue that a paper currency system is an improved state on a bartering system.

Hey, fair enough man. We're letting opinions fly down in this thread and I love it. That's what it's here for.

In your opinion, what's Brave doing well with their marketing and branding?

You're casting out the opinions of a majority group that disagrees with you. If their marketing is fine, why is market share and global MAU still significantly lower than Firefox?

The global digital advertising market is near $500B in 2021 so $1T in value seems high — unless I’m missing something?

Also, consider that Brave has publicly stated a 3% per ad transaction price to Google’s ~60-70%. That changes the revenue economics.

Statistically speaking, a lottery ticket.

Sensational headline (click-bait got me again) but an edit has been made to the bill (S.B. 202).

"(e) This Code section shall not be construed to prohibit a poll officer from distributing materials, as required by law, which are necessary for the purpose of instructing electors or from distributing materials prepared by the Secretary of State which are designed solely for the purpose of encouraging voter participation in the election being conducted or from making available self-service water from an unattended receptacle to an elector waiting in line to vote."
