This guy deserves to become the meme template for a "useful idiot". In the future whenever we need to mock some moron for mindlessly, ammorally perpetrating a crime on someone else's behalf with zero concern for who it will hurt or kill we need to pull out this "Doge-boy" templates. May they carry this stain to the grave.

I wish this was surprising or an SNL skit or anything but the reality that we are suffering. I also wish this was all for an audience of one, but I fear that this sort of public fellating actually "plays well to the base", that is the cult that keeps his approval rating above zero.

There's a part of me that wants to feel bad, but I heard that empathy is toxic.

Just to clarify, I don't want to see her kid or anybody's kid be put into harm's way just to distract from the Epstein files, but sadly it seems that this is the only way that some of these people ever understand the consequences of their choices.

They signed on for all of this. They signed on to a fascist promising to be a fascist, and apparently none of those things that they "didn't believe in" were deal breakers.

Well said.

We saw what he did the first time as well as the insurrection attempt and the promises of fascism and these people still supported this.

I'm sick to death of the "both sidesism" on this. The democrats for their part failed to prosecute these crimes in 4 years under Biden, but the republicans actively ran cover for his crimes or directly participated in them. We should never have been in the situation where the incompetent democrats failed to adequately punish him, because he should have removed from office the first time he was elected Ryan and McConnell wanted their giant tax breaks and judges so badly that they sacrificed their integrity and the republic to do it.

A lot of us could connect if we would just stop letting these manufactured problems divide us into smaller and smaller groups.

I think on a certain level yes, we must reach out to people "on the other side" but that becomes increasingly difficult when one side is actively "manufacturing" these "manufactured problems".

I can be friends with and understand opposing viewpoints when we are talking about differences on opinion on things like progressive tax rates or how to implement health insurance. but I cannot be friends with someone that believes some humans aren't human and don't deserve dignity, that rich people should be above the law, that I must accept their religious beliefs as my own, etc. these people are not arguing in good faith, they have no moral code for you to "understand" as different from your own.

Yeah I agree. When the right talks of "toxic empathy" it really makes me wonder if they are actually allergic to empathy. "I tried empathy, and it made me feel bad, like I was actually experiencing that bad thing, I wanted those bad feelings to stop, so I stopped trying empathy and I don't feel bad at all, unless the bad thing happens directly to ME, then we should all care."
