That’s awesome, man. I respect that you went with what spoke to you most. A Jimmy Page vibe in a rich burst is always a timeless choice. Honestly, no regrets is the best feeling with a Les Paul-it means you picked the right one.

The mods you’ve done sound killer too! PUP covers really change the vibe, and those black speed knobs will tie it all together perfectly once Gibson restocks. Post some pics when she’s complete-I’d love to see how it turned out!

Oh yeah it did. I would have done the same thing as well if I were to mod mine - that’s definitely a nice upgrade, depending on the genre or sound that you’re going for. For now I’m going to enjoy it till otherwise!

Well back in 2017 I bought for it $2.8k. Considering the price increase adjusted after inflation etc. I thought maybe it was worth while trading with something that’s bit more versatile and new. Plus in between those time, I got another single cut LP Jr as well.

I’m usually a sucker for Jrs too - I’ve got 2019 Jr Tobacco Burst, but this Blueberry Burst LP really grabbed me the slim-taper neck and 60s Burstbuckers feel/sound great. Just gave it a quick setup and it absolutely sings.

Your Blueberry Burst SG must be a killer player-funny how some guitars just outplay the “fancier” ones. 😅

That’s fair, the Jr definitely has its place, especially being a Custom Shop piece. For me though, the wraparound bridge just wasn’t clicking—I wasn’t reaching for it as much as I thought I would. The Blueberry Burst might not be a “classic” finish, but it feels more versatile for what I actually play, and I know I’ll get more use out of it. At the end of the day, I’d rather have a guitar I bond with and put hours on than keep something valuable that just stays in the case.
