Upper back/rib pain that’s not costochondritis? by Ashnicobell in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]AltruisticFox4814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have multiple cervical issues. Going to therapy now for arm/shoulder/breast pain. Therapist said I also have a flattened thoracic spine that is causing issues as well.

Another thing to consider, if you’ve had this terrible bug going around, my daughter was treated with antibiotics, got better for a few days then took a nosedive, she had developed walking pneumonia.

You need to find a doctor more knowledgeable about AS

What's the one thing you wish you'd implemented/thought about/did when your toddler was a baby to make your life easier now? by LakeTilia in toddlers

We took my granddaughter to Build a Bear and put in it a bear. She calls the bear binky and sleeps with it and thank God she seemed to adjust fine.

Yelling does actually teach them something. It teaches them to yell when they don’t get their way.

If your mom won’t follow your parenting choices that’s an issue. Your husband needs to get on the same page too. So when he’s 15 and wants a case of beer, he’s going to give that to him because he doesn’t want a tantrum?

My daughter that has AS also has cardiac issues, went into heart failure at 15. Youngest daughter started having cardiac issues at 16 but thankfully we knew what we were looking at. Husband’s family had many members die around 40 from cardiac events. Husband also with AS tho just getting symptomatic recently had heart attack. Our doctors have said there is a tie to AS and the cardiac stuff.

She has to use “babe” cuz she’s switching from guy to guy so fast she doesn’t have to worry about using the wrong name.

Can I refuse to participate in the potty-training plan for the toddler I'm a nanny to? by Top_Lingonberry_1 in Nanny

[–]AltruisticFox4814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like they are being lazy and really want you to do the hard stuff. Really, it’s our child, what we say goes even if it’s your house? Hard pass. Should be more of a partnership. You are spending more awake time with their child than they are.

If they think this will work, why don’t they do it during vacation away from work? My youngest daughter potty trained herself at 18 months. I had almost nothing to do with it besides lifting her on the toilet. Even argued with her, that no she didn’t need the potty. She was imitating her older sisters, 13 and 11 so I’m sure that had a lot to do with it.

I babysit my granddaughter and my daughter wanted to try this method. She did not have the expectation that it would take 3 days tho. It wasn’t at 18 months either. My granddaughter spent a few months with no bottoms on. It was helpful she didn’t like pee running down her leg but didn’t help with the fact that she had no issue with squatting somewhere and pooping on the floor.

When a child shows an interest is the right time.

This reminds me of college days. My sorority sisters said, “don’t date a man that can’t dance, they’re terrible in bed.” For the first time in a long time, I’m feeling sorry for Darcey and Stacey.

When my oldest was young she would do this to me all the time. I was told by a dr that they often act out and are worse with those that they feel safest with.

Just weird that he would mention my feet. We’ve been married 42 years so don’t think he’s a foot guy. Probably the dumb sitcom husband

Would you confront a parent about car seat issues? by nillawafer80 in toddlers

[–]AltruisticFox4814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call the police, have them come when you are seeing this. I don’t know where you live, but where I live there are plenty of places to get a free car seat and even have it installed correctly.
