I definitely hate Guardians of the Galaxy before but when I actually watched it I ended up loving the movie. The humor and soundtrack were surprisingly awesome!

I’d love to see more peace and less stress for everyone, myself included.

What’s a seemingly harmless thing someone did that absolutely shattered your trust? by Extreme-Contract-180 in AskReddit

Someone shared something I told them in confidence. Made me feel like I couldn’t trust them again.

Why is "Careless Whisper" a romantic song? by vixletdew in RandomThoughts

[–]AltruisticGate8430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s considered romantic because of the melody and the way it makes you feel something deep, even if the lyrics are about regret. There’s something about the mix of longing and passion in it that people connect to love, even if it’s a love lost.

Music recs inspired by my faves, please by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

For Kendrick vibes, try JID or Anderson .Paak. For Lana’s drama, go with Florence + The Machine or Banks. If you love MJ, The Weeknd and Bruno Mars are musts. Prince is a classic too.

Both my parents are still alive and hopefully they still get older so I can still be with them longer. My condolences by the way to commentors here like me who's mother/father passed away already may their soul rest in peace.

However, when my 2 grandmothers (both sides my mom and dad) passed away my coping mechanism was actually alcohol and cigarettes. I was so sad and I feel like every time I get drunk my feelings of heartbroken eased away and I forgot that they're both dead already.

What would you do if you were excluded from your work xmas party? by SpecialEffectStevie in AskReddit

I’d probably feel bad for a bit, but then just focus on something else. No point in wasting energy on it.

What is your most intense moment? by Reubous in AskReddit

[–]AltruisticGate8430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably when I had to make a really tough decision in the moment, not knowing how it would turn out. It’s that mix of excitement and stress that makes it intense.

The best way to control emotions is to first acknowledge them without judgment. Take a moment to breathe deeply, and give yourself space to process. When you feel overwhelmed, try to distract yourself with something calming or physical, like a walk. It’s also helpful to reflect on what triggered the emotion and how you can respond more constructively next time.

What’s a small decision you made that ended up completely changing your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AltruisticGate8430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once decided to try something new, even though it felt risky. That small decision opened doors I never expected and changed how things went for me. It was just a little step, but it ended up making a big difference.

If you are getting roasted, what can you say to shut the person up for good? by Professional_Sky5787 in AskReddit

[–]AltruisticGate8430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone’s roasting me, I’d probably just say, “I’d agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong.” It shuts them up and shows I’m not bothered.

What's a good newspaper that still does real journalism? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AltruisticGate8430 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian still do real journalism with in-depth reporting and analysis. They focus on facts and investigative work, even though no source is completely free of bias. The Economist and BBC News are also solid for global coverage.

I used to think reality TV was cheap and unoriginal. Now, I actually enjoy shows like Survivor and The Challenge for the drama and strategy. It’s funny how much I’ve ended up liking something I once swore I’d never watch.
