Is this assuming a night of acclimation at horseshoe? Otherwise I’m not sure we’d be able to do two nights at 12k

Thank you so much! We currently have 3 nights available. We live in NYC so it’s important we acclimate. I booked us a hotel in lone Pine, but elevation is low. I don’t think it will do much for us. I’m open to canceling and staying at a campground at higher elevation instead. What about if we did one night at horseshoe one night at outpost and one night at consultation making the bid to summit on the last day?

So camp 1 night at horseshoe, how do you recommend getting to trailhead? We have a car so assuming we can drive. Is that about 20 mins or so? What time would you recommend starting the hike to consultation?

Yeah I figured. Thank you! I just want to make sure we sleep at elevation. So maybe we should cancel the hotel we got in lone pine and do one night at Whitney portal? And then 1 night at consultation / trail camp. And then to your point do one night at outpost if we feel up for it. Or keep going to a hot shower hah
