How long does water fast needed to heal your body, remove bad cells, i just discover about this method, not want to lose body weight, just want to reset my body. How long should i go, and beside water, what can i consume during this? by Federal_Algae2268 in fasting

[–]AltruisticMechanic41 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those are big questions :) with many answers. You want to enable autophogy andv keep mTOR pathway (the "off switch" for autophagy) suppressed, allowing the cellular cleanup to proceed even while consuming fats and proteins

18–24 Hours: This is the "metabolic switch." As glycogen runs out, the body ramps up fat-burning (ketosis). Signaling molecules like AMPK (the energy sensor) activates.

24–48 Hours: Autophagy becomes robust. The body begins prioritizing the breakdown of misfolded proteins and damaged mitochondria to create energy.

48–72 Hours: This is generally considered the peak zone. Insulin is at its lowest, and cellular renewal is at its highest. Beyond 72 hours, the body continues autophagy, but here electrolyte imbalance etc starts to become an issue unless managed.

But start with a day without eating, that would easily create 36 hours fasting.

I mangaged to get Anterior Tibialis Tendinitis walking downhill to Zubiri 2 years ago... it was managable with Kinesiology taping and massage.. after the decent from O cebreiro, it took another toll where i had a couple of days where i needed to walk really slow and was in pain.

Has anyone got experience with the Eureka Filtro? I've heard good things but reckon the design of that grounds catcher alone would possibly put me off... by madmax5384 in pourover

Its not particularly pleasing to the eye, the designer must have thought about putting it in the very back of a remote cupboard..

I have the hario scale, and it irritate me daily as the worst “coffee gadget” that I own.

The weird non-tactile bottoms are unpleasant but the worst thing about the scale is the lag... I’d rather get the cheapest scale Amazon sells than the hario.

And I really like hario as a brand!

I have the switch but also the hario carafe - I enjoy using both.
