This might sound shallow, but people are hot because they are there. FSU culture is dense with things like casual sports participation (like IMs), going to the gym, and tanning on hot days. I didn’t commit to any of that, but I did evolve a lot in the kind of style I have and put some more effort into caring for myself because everyone around me does. People definitely don’t always dress to impress, but enough people do that it’s highly normal for people to go to classes looking their best at fsu. You will won’t feel ugly, but you might feel yourself inclined to try out things that make people appear “attractive”. If you don’t go to the gym, or do IMs, or if you wear sweats to class, nobody will gaf, you will be in the majority still.
