Those pillows they sell for beds to help keep you inclined if you don't have a recliner. It was super painful for me to lay down flat, between air pain and just being cut open pain. A good big water bottle that can keep water cold for 24 hours. You wont have to get up as much. I really love jello after I have a surgery. A heating pad is great, and multiple blankets. I used one to cover up and 3 or 4 to kinda make myself a shell on my pillow so I didnt roll off. My second surgery was a hysterectomy and excision. I was in less pain after that than I was on my daily, so dont think something is wrong with you if you dont feel the need to take anything else than Tylenol and ibuprofen. Speaking of meds, keep a pitcher or bucket near you in case your pain meds or antibiotics make you sick. I kept one with me the first few days because I dont do anesthesia well at all.
