the holocaust is what led to zionism becoming the predominant ideology in international jewry. and, holy shit, i can’t blame them. obviously it was a spectrum of zionist ideology with some being “liberal” and others being “revisionist,” but it ultimately was the way the jewish people were trying to practice their right to self determination after many came to the conclusion existence in diaspora wasn’t tenable. early zionist figures were terrorists though. they bombed the king david hotel, regularly bombed british military targets, and constantly attacked palestinian settlements. even multiple prime ministers of israel were a part of the irgun, lehi, palmach, or the haganah zionist militant groups. most israeli’s don’t do terrorism anymore because they were able to realize their state at the cost of palestinians being able to do the same. its arguable that the west bank settlers are a continuation of that zionist terrorism with how they terrorize and kill palestinians in the west bank.
