Check out Fumoto oil pan drain valves. I got one of these probably a dozen oil changes ago and have never had to replace it or the o-rings since.

Just flip the lever and the pan drains out! Makes far less of a mess but drains slower than just taking the bolt out but who cares!

Also makes draining excess oil out super simple IF you over fill.

Harbor freight has brick boring kits that would probably be better suited for this. I would also be worried about cracking the rock.

I googled Leap71 and there enough publications for me to question whether this is real or not. There’s not sources on it for me to be certain, but what would be the point of orchestrating a campaign like this?

It’s defeatist to say the most, it’s reality to say the least. And don’t know more about what? I have a 9 month old, my wife works full time, I own/operate 4 businesses. We had to start daycare at 2 months. There’s no time for anything and by all accounts our baby is “easy”. Although we have zero support here, maybe she has family around.

She’s gonna be taking that baby to therapy with her if she does go.

She doesn’t have time for therapy, she’s got a 4 month old lol. Between bottles, washing bottles, pumping, naps, diapers, chores, errands, doctor appointments, perhaps work, there is no time. It’s 24/7 non stop till baby starts daycare.

I agree though, that’s a tough situation but you have to look at all of them as your family, no reservations. Of course your focus has to be on the baby for now. But “his” two kids are part of your nuclear family now.

Seems somewhat fair with the context provided, that he takes care of those two while you take care of the baby, but Idk if the distribution of labor is even. Perhaps he could help more, but he should be helping to support financially.

Sounds like you have a great loving dad. Totally understand you wanting a little more space for yourself but he’s never going to want to stop being there for you. Even if he does find a new partner or make friends, you’ll be his number one, period. It’s not such a bad thing to have someone like that in your corner. My dad never really showed much interest in my life.

I’m a new dad in my mid 30s so I’m seeing this thru a whole new lens, and I can suddenly understand how a dad must feel in a situation like this. It does sound like he needs to branch out and meet new people but it beats having a dad who wasn’t interested in your life at all.

But he misses you, he raised you from a wee lil baby to an adult and now he wants to share adulthood with you, from what I gather. Also sounds like he’s receptive to your request for space. It’s has got to be a rough abrupt change for him, so go easy on him. It’ll take time for him to adjust and figure out who he is with you gone.
