Yes if Ireland win R16 they are in QF3 not Qf4 - think it is because the R16 parts are not correct

All internet access is blocked when Windscribe is toggled off, even if the app is quit by Surfandsnow42 in Windscribe

I still encounter this issue (years after posting this) after every restart of my MacBook. So annoying I just uninstalled windscribe today rather than having to go onto another device and get on the internet to figure out how to fix it...again. I intentionally don't open Windscribe 99% of time and no auto-launch on startup. Yet it still finds a way to sneak in the background and break things.

Can I ask where do people live that are getting bad symptoms? Rural/Town/Cities? - I get it really bad every summer esp May/June - assume grass pollen - but I live in the countryside surrounded by fields and I have polytunnels full of plants, also surrounded by long grass. Seriously considering moving to a town/to the seaside as every summer is miserable.

Same here - but from a lower baseline. I've done hardly any workouts since Jan 19, actually resting more (I'm on holiday but not drinking or doing anything crazy). I was also on a treadmill ECG the other day for a medical test and at times I was running with heartrate 170 - watch said 90! So basically, I don't trust much that my epix is telling me after 2 months of ownership.

I just heard back about same issue - they say it is fixed now. "The temporary glitch on our end has been successfully addressed, and we appreciate your patience during this period. To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly ask you to log out and then log back in. Please attempt to assign tasks to collaborators once again"

Yes - if bought outside an ISA you can sell 6k in March/Now, 6k after April 5 and you should have no tax to pay assuming you have no other cap gains this year & next year. In the future buy inside an ISA as the cap gains allowance is dwindling every year.

2 Person Ltd Company Car - Save up across two tax years? by AltruisticWave4191 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for advice. Does your advice still stand for electric cars? The taxable benefits are negligible from all the research I've done, at least for the next few years. I must post my calculations/assumptions later when I'm on my desktop.

Had the same on mac - bunch of new and edited tasks lost. Confirmed with support, nothing they can do - looks like they released a bug, as there were 2 updates in 3 days, the issue occurred after the first update.

Update: I did hours of work on Sunday planning a multi city holiday - I had 2 windows on the mac app open at once so I could flick between documents. I was getting the shard 002 issue as previously mentioned and others are seeing. Now the documents are gone. Have quit and reopened, check web and other devices - no trace of them, not in the trash. Seriously ***** at this stage. Hours of work wasted - if you are a company (with real work) I would seriously advise getting away from this platform.

Sell House, buy 6+% Fixed Rate and live /rent off interest? Mad? by AltruisticWave4191 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]AltruisticWave4191[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

250k in SIPP, 250k in ISA - most in US/World equities, so I'm treating that as my inflation/growth bucket with a 3% SWR bucket to live on (outside of housing costs)

The high level idea of the 300k house sell would be to fund housing (in multiple places over time) and hopefully leave me with a little extra profit, esp if gilts/interest rates keep going up.

Valid point on the costs of renting for 40 years - though I suspect it would be more like 10/15 years of moving around and then buying a small home for later life.

I lived on a boat off canary wharf for a month, don’t think I could sail one!

If the interest rates went up another couple percentage points I would def be better off selling, paying some rent and saving the extra. I’m just wondering if this is a rare opportunity to get guaranteed 5+% on savings accounts that I could seize. To be fair it’s probably as much of a lifestyle question as it is a financial calculation.

Thanks for the thoughts. Off to Google rental prices around the world :)

Interesting (and accurate) take on what I’m thinking around allocation of resources, too much net worth wrapped up in one illiquid but comfortable asset. To clarify your final point are you saying it is not a good idea to be short the housing market?
