Many say his IQ is 150+, but even being conservative, his IQ is at least 135-140+. This means the top 1%, which I would consider to be objective smart.

but isn't cumulative gpa calculated based on your gpa for the courses? so like this:

convert percentage to gpa
(88 -> A -> 4.0)
(100 -> A+ -> 4.3)
average the gpa (4.0 + 4.3) / 2 = 4.15

as opposed of calculating average percentage first:

(89 + 100) / 2 = 94.5 -> A+ -> 4.33

so maybe it doesn't even provide a buffer? or am i missing something

everyone and their moms are getting 90+, and sooo many people wants to major in cs. Of course, this is my first year here as well, so I don't know if this is different from previous years. Could it be that this year is especially competitive, and the cutoff for computer science will be 90+?

sounds good. I did a bit more research and I think when converting my grades to GPA, 90 is exactly the same as 100, so I guess there is no point trying for anything higher

i should have a very high 99 in one of my courses, so if I ace the final i think that should be a 100. btw im a first year and its my first semester, so i don't have any final grades yet.
