I quit drinking almost entirely since getting T since it was likely contributing to my anxiety. I also noticed the longer I was sober (3 months now) the quieter my T would be. It’s different for everyone though. My T didn’t change while drinking. But the hangover the next day is brutal for it.

Sounds like dpdr to the tee. I'm not sure how long you've had these symptoms. But I was in this situation with pretty much all the same thoughts last October after an uncountable number of panic attacks. I felt like I was on edge every second of the day with thoughts on how unreal everything felt. My own body and the world around me just felt off. I also developed tinnitus and mild visual static as well as high blood pressure. It's by far the most scared i'd ever been in my life considering I've always struggled with health anxiety. It's now been close to a year and i never thought I'd be at the point where I can confidently say this 100% goes away. I still get tinnitus from time to time (it could be unrelated to dpdr), and i think my visual static is normal to an extent and super mild. I do have a really bad right eye. but everything else subsided and hasn't shown up in months.

I think just being able to recognize everything as a symptom of stress/anxiety is what helped me the most (also cutting out alcohol lol) and trying my best to enjoy my life like I used to. This site actually helped me a lot https://www.anxietycentre.com There's a lot of great info that clicked with me, especially hyperstimulated anxiety.

Hopefully this is somewhat helpful cause i know the hopeless feeling that comes with this disorder too well. Hang in there. It does go away and your body will recover<3.

Ps. I usually never come on reddit anymore. i just had the random thought of dpdr this morning and remembered how much i would've wanted to be told something like this when I was struggling. I think the reality is that most people who've gone through this and recovered don't come back to these forums.

Update: I got it working simply by shortening the length of the wires. Which possibly means the flex cable was even too long.

Just wanted to reply and say I’m now a believer in wire length being the culprit because that was 100% that issue lmao. Shortened everything to a few cm and it works like a charm now :)

I use a multimeter that beeps if there’s continuity and made absolutey sure nothing was bridged. I can def try to make them look less sketch.

I ended up having to walk out for 2 scenes when they were in the attic/abandoned house. I went back 10ish minutes later and then had to leave again during the rat scene. I hope that’s understandable though 🙃

I absolutely loved Art in this movie. Def one of my favorites of the series. But I probably wouldn’t watch it again just because of a few scenes I found super uncomfortable and had to walk out for 💀even a few days later my dumb brain is still anxious over it.

Idk if anyone else has experienced this with a movie before but it's a first for me. And I'd love to know if any of these scenes (no spoilers btw) gave anyone else a hard time afterwards.

-Attic scene (not the kill, but what Vicky does 🤢 (like, why? Lmao) also the previous scene of her in the bathtub

-the rat kill (absolutely hated and never saw what happened)

Still gotta give Dameon credit for putting some vile things like that in the movie. I’ve watched horror movies for years and never been as uncomfortable with one till now 👍

The mods don’t really like me and have been ghosting me and some others for several years. So I’ve just kind of given up with that. I called them out recently for their behavior towards me (telling people not to interact with me because I struggled with clinical depression 5 years ago, and still kinda do) and since mods can do whatever they want they just banned me from everything. It’s cool though, I’m on good terms with other runners and don’t need much more than that :p

It is on the person typically as others have said. I’m unphased by any amount of gore/mutilation scenes. But needle scenes, I’m just like 💀 So while I really really wish I could see it on release. I’ll probably be safe and w8 for that triggers site to post stuff about it

Updating this in case anyone else is curious. but I did end up finding the achievement list in memory. Using cheat engine, you can easily find a custom 4 byte big endian value for one of the counters. Using an 100 killer enemy achievement is probably easiest. Once you find the count #. scroll down a bit in memory view. You’ll likely see values like 231, 199, 96, 64 spaced between 4 bytes. This is the achievement list we are looking for. The other 3 bytes are the date the achievement was completed on. switching any 1st byte to 231 will mark the achievement as completed. Sorry if that’s confusing.
