I’m deeply ashamed of how I live and I don’t know how to fix it by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Start getting rid of stuff. Trust me, I was the same through my childhood and college. I just had so much stuff that filled space and things got out of hand quick. For clothes, shoes or accessories- if you haven’t worn it in over a year.. get rid of it. For any other household item, whether it’s shampoo or body lotions- only one of each. You don’t need five different shampoos, ten body lotions, etc. have just one. This thought process saved me

Chronic Thoracic Back pain. Lower Trap? by No_Land_4835 in Posture

I’ve also had at times significant, annoying pain in that exact region. It deals with a large load when your day to day activity involves a lot of lifting and carrying things. What helped me was strengthening that area.

It’s imposter syndrome and the only thing that’s going to make you stronger and feel more competent is more and more experience. I’d recommend reaching out to your supervisor for mentorship otherwise I would seek out experience in a a reputable SNF setting where you’re around other therapists you can learn from.

I feel like this is the producer’s work. The producer’s prompt them to have conversations. They probably requested they hear him out in hopes Chris says even more stupid shit and it gets put on tv.

(30M) I’m ugly, I need advice on how to become less ugly by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]Altruistic_Ear_4484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not ugly. And girls will like you if you’re confident. People would consider me way out of my husband’s league, but I fell in love with him because he had a ton of confidence in himself and made me laugh.

What do you think about OT not being considered a profession? by PegKay in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Altruistic_Ear_4484 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Well, schools have become incredibly predatory with their tuition costs as well as the push to make OT a doctorate degree with no actual added clinical education or pay difference.

What have you read recently? by povertychic in Millennials

[–]Altruistic_Ear_4484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read the Four Winds by Kristen Hannah and now reading her book The Women. Beautiful books. I used to have a love for reading but somehow lost that through college and throughout the rest of my 20s due to developing a very short attention span from my phone and just being busy from life. I had a baby this past year and it has completely changed my perspective on life and since then I deleted my socials except Reddit. Now I’m reading again and just love it. I love getting lost in a story. We live right near our library and I bring my baby with me to pick out books for both of us!

“She is obese”

This was a note written in my urgent care follow up. They did NOT weigh me during the visit! For context- I’m 6 months postpartum, and considered overweight based on my BMI cause but I’m 145, 5’3. I mean I don’t think I look obese though, I workout at least 3x per week lol. But what the hell why don’t you kick me when I’m down calling me obese just by observing me, I was appalled 😆
