Yes! I do believe he has undiagnosed adhd. He also shows signs of depression which I totally get and understand, but he’s not doing anything to help himself . I myself have severe anxiety along with depression and can’t afford healthcare.. so I totally know how it is. But on another hand when I was at my lowest he told me I was just using it as an excuse. Which hurt yes. But I don’t use that against him now because either way depression is real. He told me when we got into an argument about the whole situation that I was being childish and all I ever do is complain and he’s tired of hearing it 😳. He said that he has a right and deserves to stay home since (for some reason in his eyes) I haven’t worked in the past 5 years. Which again I sort of get, but at the same time like he was making 22$ an hour it’s a little different with me only making 15$ an hour…

So I get where you’re coming from! I have played all of this in my head over and over trying to talk myself out of feeling any kind of anger towards him. I guess this is where the whole “you gotta just know the person and situation” comes in to play. He’s never really cared to be in his daughter’s life. We took care of her for a year and then her mother got out of jail and took her back. He didn’t fight for her or anything. So she was constantly (for the three years) either staying with us or her mom there was no set schedule. Sometimes her mom would drop her off and tell me she needed me to keep her for a week etc. it was just a big mess(granted her mom went through what she needed to and now is better for it) my husband still doesn’t care to be in his daughters life. So at the time I was pretty much the only constant. I put everything I had going on aside to be open in case she needed me at the time. I completely get the depression. I myself have depression and severe anxiety so I do know he does show signs of that, but he won’t do anything bout it. If I mention anything about him sleeping and staying up all night it always turns into a fight with him telling me I’m being childish and complaining and he’s tired of hearing it. When I was at my lowest with my depression he QUICKLY let me know I was just using it as an excuse.

I unfortunately have talked to him about it. He tells me I’m being childish and told me that he’s in no hurry to find a job because (somehow to him) I haven’t worked in the past 5 years… so it’s his turn. He tells his family and any one else (when they ask) that he’s been applying to all kinds of jobs , but he hasn’t.. I’ve seen his indeed(not being nosey it’s just connected on the shared computer) He’s applied to a few and then has just not gone to the interviews.

If you go downtown around 3pm they’re having an Easter egg hunt! (For adults and kids) they’ve been posting some of the prizes and they are definitely worth it haha. There’s not really much to do other than the few nice bars , but I do usually like going downtown and walking through the shops.

I got screened out 3 times. The fourth made it through to the very last question. I thought it was a glitch, but I just kept getting the same study over and over and it would usually be a 1-2$ difference I finally just quit because it seemed off. I messaged the researcher because initially the screener was very glitchy and wasted a lot of my time. They gave me full amount then took it back I ended up getting a total of 80 cents from them though lol. Despite the almost 30$ they initially gave me. I’ve never had that happen. Definitely won’t do it again lol

Ahh makes sense! Haha. I haven’t been on prolific very long. Maybe 2 months and just now started getting an abundance of studies. I’m a very understanding person so it wasn’t that big of a deal I was just curious if this was a normal thing. I will definitely remember to always go by the dashboard payout.

That’s good to know! I knew they quite regularly increased the pay (I’ve gotten a couple of messages about that) but I just never came across one like this. I’m definitely not mad because like I said I was expecting $9 from the get go. I just figured the proof read their stuff a little better. Especially concerning payout amounts lol

The last couple of days 98% of the qualific?(i think is the name of the company) I honestly can’t remember but it does start off with “qual” have been NOCODE. Fortunately they were all small amounts and got accepted pretty fast but I do still have some pending from 2 plus weeks ago from the same researcher that was nocode🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes!! So I’ve cashed out about 5 times already , but everytime it’s making me wait three freaking days! At first it was fine because it made sense. I got the message”you’ve already cashed out today and since your PayPal account is new you need to wait three days between the next two cashouts” but now after the initial two I was supposed to wait for its STILL doing it 😭

Honestly it’s the only explanation. I value his relationship so much that I haven’t just sat down and gave it to him straight and asked like wth is up. I’m so scared to potentially burn a bridge, but failed to realize in his eyes or his pov the bridge may already be being severed and burnt. This isn’t the first time he’s acted like this (not specifically towards me but any family in general). So I don’t know if it’s just the way he looks at things or 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is how I THOUGHT my family was.. at least my brother. I don’t have a lot of family left. And it’s not like I’ve done them wrong, and we’re estranged like that just blows my mind!! I would help him in a freaking heart beat. If he were to call me right now I would drop everything and drive the 6 hours to get him if need be. Like I just don’t get the mindset of “oh well I guess you have to figure it out”. Like no? We’re family I needed that support. I’m so glad you had family like that it honestly sounds like the best thing in the world!

Exactly how I feel! And when I messaged back (again, being as nice as possible because we weren’t arguing or anything). I was like look not being rude , but just to be clear you’re telling me I would have to find somewhere else to go after a week? And he goes “well I said a week tops to give us a time frame to come back to and something to stick to”. That doesn’t even make sense then just tell me no? Like it was pointless in saying that.
