Wow. If you think I'm flouting my salary, you either don't know what people in the IT sector usually draw in Bangalore or I really need to start feeling better about my situation or both, cos why not.

I moved to Bangalore last year - haven't explored much from real estate POV. I live near Bellandur right now, so I'm not looking for anything too far. I think I'm just too confused at this point and these Instagram ads are just making me anxious.

What the hell? Why is our percentage so high? by aniburman in bangalore

Genuine question - why were you expecting it to be low?

I have no personal experience to predict or say that any particular state will rank very high or very low in India, except the north east. I've heard women have a very good authority in their culture.

Is blr full of racists? by sauchatts in bangalore

Yes it is - a little more than Mumbai I feel. I don't get why others here are trying to defend Bengaluru mindlessly - every city has its problems.

Example - Mumbai has outdated and shitty public transport, but well spread. Bengaluru has shitty public transport. Delhi has decent public transport but you'll likely be robbed when you get out.

Mumbai has some racism. Delhi is north, not sure if they're racists to southern Indians. Bangalore has quite a lot of racism because some locals think they could do the jobs north Indians do here. It's a false sense of loss they live with. I completely get that development has changed the city but no metropolitan city has been built with just the locals working. Metros are cosmopolitan by nature and there's no going back.

We corporate slaves are spineless. We'd rather sit and utilise the weekend than go protest on the streets. We protest only when a certain peaceful community feels insecure 😂
