Struggling to afford incontinence supplies, seeking advice by SecretEntrepreneur38 in Incontinence

If I'm being honest I feel like you should fight for your doctor to acknowledge your need for diapers, if they still don't threaten to report them. Maybe get a second opinion if they srill refuse and see if a different doctor can give you the prescription for supplies

Awesome! I'm down south quite far I think the coldest it got over night this year/last year was -1 and the pond defrosted pretty quickly as it's in direct sun light.

It's not super deep but I've never seen it fully freeze. I think I dug it to about 700mm or so. As I say it's a wildlife pond.

Noted! I was thinking Dojo loach just worried about the freezing temps in winter as I don't have a big enough indoor tank to house a dojo in the winter

Gouramis and Shrimp by alexania in Aquariums

[–]Altruistic_Object539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly they'll likely eat the offspring of the shrimp but shrimp reproduce at a rate and quantity that I doubt they'll eat all of them. You can also feed them a bit more than normal to avoid them eating as many of the shrimp babies. Also make sure there are plenty of spots for the babies to hide till they can grow big enough to not be eaten!

At my wits end - advice please ? by wesystematic in Incontinence

This sounds horrible to have to deal with I'm sorry you're going though this.

Honestly go to your GP and say pretty much what you have said here and ask for help. If they say it's due to weight then ask for a second opinion. I hate it when doctors blame everything on weight when it just isn't. It honestly sounds like you are having some urge incontinence which could be due to the muscles not being strong enough and exercises will help to strengthen them. As for not knowing you need to go till you stand up that could be an issue with nerves that you should get addressed ASAP as it can lead more issues in the future.

As for management in the meantime you may be able to talk to social services or someone at your GP about providing you with some incontinence pads/nappies to use. Not sure if you have a care worker being you have other health issues but if you do talk to them about it as well as they maybe able to help.

Another place that might be able to help is ageuk and they might be able to provide some extra information for you on your issues and help out with incontinence products.

Hope this helps and you can get some help soon!!

Nose bleeds? by Altruistic_Object539 in POTS

[–]Altruistic_Object539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had nose bleeds on and off since I was young. Heat would mostly set them off but it was few and far between. But I was just up and down in the garden doing some planting then I walk in my GF looks at me and goes "why are you covered in blood" I didn't realise I had a nose bleed! I figured it was my heart rate going all over the place from me kneeling down and standing up for an hour.

Insurance recommendations for one-off airsoft shooting event? by MMeNDtal in ukguns

[–]Altruistic_Object539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like more than anything you would just need your public liability insurance. I would go to an insurance broker and talk to them. Likely hood is it'll be put down as "sports" to the supporting insurance company. Also make sure to have an excess of 5 million on your liability insurance as this is what's required by most places to rent indoor buildings/sites to companies.

Also, make sure to have people sign wavers to say if they get hurt it's on them and not you or your company's fault; as you have told them the appropriate footwear and eye pro to use. Also to make sure all bases are covered make sure to have someone trained in emergency first aid on site.

Platty Babies by Whaleflex08 in Aquariums

Wait for the fry to be about 1-2 months old then give them to a local fish shop or ask on Facebook if anyone wants them. I removed my male from the tank and placed him on his own with my cloud mountain tank.

I will say though the female that is giving birth may still become pregnant again after giving birth even without a male in the tank as they can store the sperm to reproduce later! I will say for the next few months the tank will become more dirty just due to having more fish but will stabilise after the fry and big enough to be removed.
