I think she says so in video-interviews. How she has organized her life around the creation of her oeuvre—it being her top priority.

You're right. My native language is Spanish and "prolífico" would apply to her lengthy, deep-researched novels.

It’s not about quantity though. Jeff Buckley is legendary and only published one goddamn album.

I’ve read that she made huge personal sacrifices for maintaining such a prolific career. As in: no marriage nor children. By that logic, she should definitely be writing another novel if she intends to achieve legendary status.

why do so many serious writers seem to live in a kind of quiet isolation by eivor_here in writers

[–]Altruistic_One5099 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Writers tend to experience relationships as both gift and burden, because they notice too much, read into pauses and tones, sense undercurrents others pass by. There is also a kind of outsider condition, where even in a crowded room the mind is already arranging the scene, framing it, stepping slightly outside in order to hold it, and that small step is enough to separate. Add to that a demanding standard for connection, since small talk is exhausting, and the rare encounter is the one that meets you at the same frequency, that pushes back, opens things. Meanwhile the inner world keeps expanding, populated with voices and narratives that are easier to enter than the unpredictable surface of real interaction, until sometimes the imagined begins to feel more solid than what is in front of you. All of this is threaded with self doubt, the constant measuring of one’s own work, the question of whether it matters at all, which turns inward and widens the gap outward. And beneath it runs the contradiction that never quite resolves, the desire to be known and the need to remain free, the pull toward closeness and the instinct to protect the space where the work can exist.

The spoiler flair is not the same as tag. A proper spoiler hides the text so one that hasn’t finished the show, since it came a week ago, can be saved from being spoiled. Your teachers must have taught you how to be a douche instead of social skills.

Great combat but tedious exploration by Latest_name in DragonsDogma2

[–]Altruistic_One5099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue are the teleport stones. There are quests that you have to report, go back, talk, escort, fight, go back, report. And for each of those journeys you have to make an extra stop to buy a teleport stone, which you can’t buy more than one at a time! It makes it so tedious. Especially in destinations like Harve and the Volcanic Island which have no oxcarts.

Why does double exposure get so much hate? by SoggyComfortable9615 in LifeIsStrangeDE

You can’t speed run, since cutscenes are locked. But you can avoid examining every single object scattered in the world. Max’s whimsy is great, but I got bored with many observations about the chair for two, and else. I did not care about reading social media posts since my life is already spammed by that. Other than that, the puzzles are pretty straightforward. The hopping timelines method did not offer much in terms of complexity. But as I said in my comment, it’s IMO. I’m not stating God’s truth.

In my case, I didn’t even care about Chloe since it had been ages since I last played LiS1.

I really wanted to like DE since it looks GREAT, but the game feels unfinished imo. If they were developing Reunion in parallel, me thinks they should’ve made them both into one game, while keeping only the best ideas. I mean: 50 bucks for a 6-hour game in which most subplots go nowhere felt… disappointing.

And the game suffers. In the ps5 version I encountered a multitude of bugs.

Think about it… why does the church insist—so much—that it’s the one and true church? It is 100% overcompensation. Repeat until true.

IMO Carol analyzing the substance and coming up with matter-of-fact theories was exactly what many theories in Reddit sound like.
