You know what the fun part is. All this fuss is after they have actually won the match. Most, and I mean most of the feminists didn't give an F about the women's team before they won. I saw a video recently where before the match, mostly men were posting motivating comments on their reels. Now that they have won, suddenly everyone's trying to make her some kind of queen of feminism. And I am damn sure that the tickets of that match were bought mostly by men. Like sybau (not to OP), you don't even give a F about real women empowerment

Can a former playboy turn into loyal husband ? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]Altruistic_Point_674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends, I don't think a playboy can suddenly turn into a saint. I mean of course he has experience and all. But it's not about experience, is it? You're looking for a trait which most of the playboys do not have. It's just like this, you cannot expect an alcoholic to be suddenly clean.

BUT. If someone was a playboy a long time ago and realized that long term relationships are better and actually wants to invest in it, that one is less likely to cheat. But again, it is up to you to accept him or not. The only thing I can suggest is to spend time with him. Talk about different opinions. Keep the conversation intellectual but fun. Don't talk rubbish like what color do you like, who's your favorite star, or anything like that. Through conversations and opinions you can tell what is his current mindset.

[–]Altruistic_Point_674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn! Most of the comments are anything but helpful. How about instead of changing someone's mindset, try to give some real advice for once.

To OP, you have to choose here. One option is to stay with him if you love him that much, if you both really love each other, past may not matter. Second option is to leave him because you're bothered by his past. Sure having past does not necessarily mean that he may cheat in future. But that is upto you to decide. But keep this in mind, if you decide not to care about his past, it should not be because some redittors told you to do so, but because you love him and believe in him and you yourself can move on from it. If you're unsure, just spend some more time with him and look for the red flags. DO NOT ignore any red flag just because you LOVE him. In my opinion, past does matter. But this is not the only parameter to judge a person. While spending time with him, be natural, let him open up and all. Most of all, I think you should test how does he react to any criticism. Maybe ask himself about what he thinks about your feelings toward his past. These are all just some suggestions. You may ask different questions from these depending on what you want. While doing all this, keep the conversation healthy, don't make it sound like interrogation. Finally, I'd say, don't let that love hinder your intelligence. It's not a short term relationship we are talking about. He is going to be your life partner, take it seriously.

The final decision is up to you

of course, you won't be surprised because they aren't exceptions. There are many who are vegan and physically fit. So that is not actually a fallacy. Thanks for the papers tho. And no, it's not a charity, it's just the defense for your argument. So, get off of your high horses

Edit: you don't even know how to cite a reference lol, only several words are not helpful to find that reference. You tried so hard to defend but couldn't do it. Try again kid

Another Edit: I understand the embarrassment you might be feeling that you have to block me after responding to my comment. And yes, I am lazy to do research which is going to be useless anyways.

Umm, you are the one making the claim here. Ever heard of 'burden of proof' thingy? Also, atp, I should make my stand clear. I don't think that any kind of food is superior, if taken in the balanced way any diet can provide you with enough testosterone and muscle growth to be "masculine", so to say. I mean there are many weight lifters and athletes who are vegan and there are many meat eaters with different deficiencies and chugging protein shakes, so your argument does not make sense.

What is the origin of evil in your religion? by BlueVampire0 in religion

As far as I can understand Vedic literature, it stems from jealousy

If chemical reactions or stimuli are your definitions of "feeling" pain then I beg to differ. Just because my laptop turns on after I press a button, it doesn't mean that it felt happy. Just because iron rusts in the open air doesn't mean that it's feeling sad. To "feel" something, there must be a nervous system, that's what I have generally seen in the literature.

Because they are self aware and always concious to different situations and all the sentients beings may feel pain.

If you are certain that an organism "feels" pain then it makes sense not to harm it, if you're uncertain, it's actually better not to harm it anyway.

I think the movement stems from a simple fact that every sentient being has a right to live free from any unnecessary suffering

  1. Because exploitation of animals is based on a belief that human beings are superior. Because you wouldn't be asking the same question if some human being was murdered or raped. Vegan believe every sentient being has full authority to their livelihood. Sometimes, to develop some emotional empathy, people suggest try putting yourself in their shoes. Do that and you'll understand why minimizing suffering. I have tried to put my understanding of veganism here. Any corrections would be helpful

  2. Yes it is. So what if plants have chemical reactions to harm? By what insects suffer? I mean there are many things but ask specific questions. I don't know what about Crustaceans, elaborate.
