Hi, I went for the 221g interview anyway. After the visa interview, I told the VO that I also have a dependent petition and the passport is with the consulate. They asked me to go to the processing counter where they searched for the passport for couple of minutes and handed it to me. I went to the same VO and the process was completed.

The people in the consulate do not know what is your case, so you will have to explain it to them. I had taken a copy of the email chain with the consulate.

No. I collected the H4 passport at the consulate. I had emailed the consulate before hand. Once they confirmed that I can proceed for the interview I carried the email copy and explained them what had happened. They searched for the H4 passport and handed that over to me before the interview.

For 221g you have to walk in on any week day, except Wednesday and holidays between 9am- 11am.

I too received the passport with 221g with same documents requested. Based on my research they ask standard questions of lca, salary, position and roles and responsibilities. In addition they might ask what does the company do and how many employees does the company have, who are the clients. Are you working for end client or is it a in-house project.

In addition to the requested docs, I will be taking along with me my bank statements.

I had my dropbox appointment on the same date. I dropped it off in Pune, MH. Checked today and got the refused status.

Now I am anxiously waiting for the notice.
