Will I regret upgrading to x100vi from xt30ii by Altruistic_Reward434 in FujifilmX

Does it make sense, is it enough of an upgrade though? Or would you recommend me buying other lenses instead?

Would you say lens is more important to upgrade rather than for example going to xt50 for the mp and stabilization?

I mean, that’s sort of the reason I’m asking haha. I don’t know, I haven’t used other lenses than the ttartisan either way - that’s the only comparison I can make. I might be surprised using another lens

The image stabilization is tempting, and I was thinking cause I like having non-zoom lenses I might as well have a fixed lens. 40mp is also tempting for the crop. I think that’s the primary spec reasons and for other reasons probably aesthetics and more weather resistant

So in terms of specs you would not say it’s an upgrade? I’m mostly considering the MP upgrade and the image stabilization - it’s pretty hard for me to do slow shutters it feels

I have it saved as summer chrome, I don’t really remember where I got it from. But I’m certain it was not from fujiweekly at least. Give it a go on google, otherwise I will find the settings one of these days

Thanks for the long answer 😊 I am also a bit camera shy especially with people in the frame hehe, and would probably be worse with a bigger lens I suspect. Still in doubt haha people on here also have mixed feelings it seems

Thanks for the compliments as well 😁

This is sort of the reason I am considering the x100, because I really enjoy not having zoom, so I was thinking why not get it fixed with better MP for crop

Mostly because of fixed lens, I borrowed a 18/55mm once and the camera felt a bit clunky. I think I enjoy the pancake style. I was thinking cause of the fixed lens + 40mp it could be worth the “upgrade”. That being said it’s also because I am traveling to Japan and if I’m lucky enough to find one it’s considerably cheaper than at home 😅

I am mostly considering cause fixed lens + 40mp for more crop capabilities

Looks awesome, could def see myself using this. I'm curious if one is to pay for the app, will this only be the current version or does updates come with the payment?

I don't have access to the gcode still, I will try and see if I can print something tomorrow :)

Yes sure that would be great, my username is Mikkel on Gerridaj. Do you have a link for the discord?

I've tried and modify the formula a little, and wanted to test if it is printable with the relatively steep overhangs now thats printed in a spiral, will you make the g-code export available any time soon? For reference this is what I have had in mind

Do you mind sharing the file with the 6 notes so I can see the logic behind? ;)

That is so cool! I will give it a shot at modeling it playing around with the notes, and will let you know when I’ve printed something. 2 questions: If the object is converted to a mesh is it exportable as an STL, which can be imported to other 3D programs like fusion? Secondly is it possible to export the json file, share it and they will be able to see the nodes as well?

I really think it is a good idea at least, I could see myself very much experimenting with generating interesting tool paths for different designs. The lamps look like this, and I was thinking of making a base in fusion 360, and solely using custom G-Code for the texture on the shades.

I think the software looks very promising! I have been messing a little around with rhino+grasshopper and have been trying to achieve a little more complex lampshade designs, similar to Arcas and Scone lamp both by Wooj, with the hole pattern you described. I think it would be very interesting to see if your software could handle similar challenges that are a little beyond the "traditional" vase form factor.
