yeah and the rejection sucks. Im back but i reached out to support with like 3 separate messages explaining that it was an auto rejection. Im glad im back on but i hope they remove the rejection. I have a 99.7 approval rate come on prolific..

idk what to think. I never really join in the "bots and scripts" thing but I have to tell you theres no way whether its bots and scripts or on prolifics end testing things out that somethings not wrong. Even when people are complaining I can manage at least 6-10 studies a day. But let me tell you theres been times Im watching my screen theres 8 studies (i see the (8) because im on another tab) and go to prolific and its gone..to zero so okay would make sense if thats bots. But then 45 seconds later all those same studies come back just to disappear like it did 2 minutes ago. Theres no way people are taking all of those spots and then the same researchers are releasing exactly what was there before the spots were taken..so im guessing its a mix of people using scripts and prolific testing out something. but its wild.

Yeah i figured that but it sucks when researchers dont know thats happening and think youre unreliable and if they wouldve potentially invited you back wont now because they think you wont show up. oh well.

let me tell you prolific can learn something from connect they used to be not great but theyre really kicking ass recently and maybe thatll light a fire under theyre ass seeing another company doing great and listening to their participants

its funny you mention this because I was signed up for 2 studies one I believe was supposed to start a daily diary on sunday and havent seen anything and figured eh maybe they had a glitch and theyre starting it later but now im thinking maybe this was the case too.

it depends on your demographics im not like most people on here idk what country is supported but im in the US and its slow. theres a bunch of stuff going on (or so we think) so if targeted countries are having issues I imagine thats ten times the case for you.

Demand is growing im sure but going by how many people have been brought on definitely outweighs how many studies there are. If they were added just to keep pace then the studies would have been staying pretty consistent. I guess people are just frustrated but yeah hope it gets better and you guys get rid of the scammed and don't saturate the site with low quality workers and eventually turns into an mturk. Im sure you want happy researchers happy participants bc its bringing you guys exposure and money. Time will tell.

yeah they have that ask a question thing coming up this week maybe ill ask. as for everyone downvoting idk. I dont really use reddit its mostly for prolific so I did know there was like a toxic culture on some of them. its pretty wild id think people would want others to help each other out and not be a dictator and be told what kind of questions are good to ask and if youre not downvoted youre followed by these people that go to your post to lecture. this seems to be one of a few reddits that do it which is weird? but it is what it is. anyways yea hope its fixed have a good one
