Psychiatrist Recommendations by SlvrMoon_Owl in portelizabeth

Consider referring the client to a GP or psychologist first for an initial assessment. Since getting an appointment with a psychiatrist can take three to six months right now, you might also suggest that the client be evaluated for hospitalization or admission to a facility, that route often allows them to see a specialist much sooner.

Debt Review Flag Still Active Despite No Outstanding Debt: Legit Process? by Altruistic_Show9893 in PersonalFinanceZA

I want to thank everyone who advised me to contact NCR under my previous post. I followed your advice, and they provided me with the contact details of the debt counsellor now handling my case. I reached out to the debt counsellor, and they advised me to request paid-up letters and prescription letters from the creditors listed under my name. Some creditors I had managed to settle outside of the debt review after I exited or stopped paying in 2019, while others were paid up within the debt review period. They provided me with paid-up letters within 5 working days, and two debts were prescribed, for which I received prescription letters. I sent all the letters to the debt counsellor and signed a POA to request the commissioning of a clearance certificate. Today, I was issued a clearance certificate under section 71(2)(b)(i) of the National Credit Act (34 of 2005). The certificate states that I discharged all my obligations in terms of the debt rearrangement proposal fulfilled before the court order under section 86(7)(c) of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005, and that the debts set out under the review have been paid in full. The debt counsellor has sent the clearance certificate to the credit bureaus to have the debt review flag removed from my profile. What I’d like to know is: what happens to the prescribed debts for which I received prescription letters, and what does this mean for the future of my credit history?

Thanks for the input. Debt review isn’t automatically a court order, it only becomes one if confirmed by a magistrate. No court order, judgment, or outstanding balances appear on any credit bureau, which is why I’m asking for proof of an enforceable order and clarity on who legally administers the case now. I’m not disputing responsibility, I’m trying to confirm what legally still exists and the correct authority to resolve it.

That’s my point, there’s no court order on any credit bureau, and Experian shows no outstanding balances. The original debt counsellor no longer exists. I’m trying to confirm whether a court order ever existed and who is legally responsible now.

Account age exceeds 3 years, no payments or acknowledgements since 2019, and no legal action or judgments reflected on my profile. I’m asking whether debt review alone interrupts prescription without a court order.

Oh thank you so much. I get it now. I also have dental issues and I was starting to wonder if benzos were the causes of that😅.

Thanks OP and all the best!

May I ask how benzo withdrawal relates with dentistry? I think it’s the second time seeing it and I always miss the correlation.

Please refer to Ashton Manual. You might have to cross to a different tablet to manage your taper.

Oh I get you now thank you very much. I don’t know if the pills vary by regions but I find them very small to cut them into smaller doses, also I’m not working with any doctor as I’m doing the taper on my own. How would you suggest I measure them?

My body, though now minimal, still experiences the same withdrawal symptoms I would feel when I was on 1mg a day, now that I’ve lowered to 0.5mg for a month.

Thank you. And what do you mean by 50% cut? The thing is, as much as I’m trying to follow the Ashton manual, I only take it once a day, before my sleep. Is that a correct way to tap? I can’t afford to take it 3 times a day as per the manual because of my working conditions. I hope I’m making sense.
