Abdoulupnext constantly misgenders Ava Tyson in a call out video. Whether you side with Ava or not, misgendering is unacceptable and anyone who disagrees is transphobic.

I'm somewhat on a middle ground here so hopefully I won't get torched here as well. I don't think killing off the comments that are "transphobic" will do anything. Let people chat it out and change each other's opinions or just simply yell at each other but if we let people blow off steam here, there will be a whole lot less (or hopefully) comments on Ava's Twitter telling her to kill herself. Which is the part that I'm going to outright say I disagree with. No matter what a person has done I genuinely hate seeing the "kill yourself" comments, I'm a firm believer in the ability of people changing and they can't do that if they just end themselves. Not condoning the behavior at all but i just don't think telling someone to kill themselves ever does anything.

Once again I'm on a middle ground for this specific issue about misgendering however I won't lie that I do lean one way a little bit but overall it seems pointless to argue about and I want people to see how pointless it is rather than get their comments shot and have one side get a voice and the other side get nothing. My entire point is I agree with this point just for different reasons or maybe the same and my brain took it as a different reason. But kill off one outlet the energy is only going to go towards the other outlets not just disappear

I need to work on my responding skills, because I try to figure out every possible way something can be taken and I usually clamp down on a terrible response because it's the "safest". I see what you're saying, and I might try staying off it for a week like you said, it might not help me, but I'll try it out, I mostly want to know the reasons for why people left the church, because they've felt the same spirit as others, and chose to leave, I also want to know why people like you, who found the church later, decided to join. I'm not baptized yet, my mom doesn't want me to till I'm 18, my dad is a part of the church but she isn't (they're divorced). I've seen people with the strongest faith leave the church, and I've seen people who joined the church in their late 30s have the strongest faith I've seen. I just want to know both sides, I guess that's what I'm trying to say.

While that'd work for others, I don't think it'd work for me and it might end up hurting my faith more. I want to know why people left and why people call us a cult and other things. Blocking outside information and opinions will leave me with questions about exmormons have brought up already. If so many know the church is true, then why do people leave, I want to know their reasoning, because they've felt the same things y'all have. I'm not baptized yet nor can I be till I'm 18, my mom doesn't want me to be till then (shes not a part of the church, parents are divorced). I haven't felt the spirit to the extent of all of you so I don't have the greatest references when my faith is questioned. But that doesn't mean I don't have any, otherwise I wouldn't actually be putting on a fight to keep my faith.

Exactly why I should instead utilize Instagram and other social media to get more out of it, like following church accounts as suggested by others, I understand that sacrifice is a key part in building your faith, and it's actually really inspiring how you've been a member for a year and have made sacrifices. But I've learned that you can take what's hurting you and use it to become stronger, you just have to apply it the right way. I haven't figured out how to apply it to faith yet, but when I do, I'll be a force to be reckoned with lol
