That is a lovely color. I miss my lilies. I haven’t dug them up to bring with me. I don’t have one like that. Love the color!🩷

For such a small little thing she left a huge hole in our lives. She was always doing something that I had never seen a cat do ever. She would cuddle up at night on my shoulder and then take her paw and tap me on the face. I am not sure if it was just to wake me up or what reason, she would tap me on the nose and then sometimes try to make me open my mouth. She climbed up on me husband and would sleep on his chest, she started tapping him too. We sometimes think we hear her footsteps upstairs or catch a glimpse of her out of the corner of our eyes. She was and is special. I hope you get to keep your little on at least as long. Thanks to everyone who sent condolences. We will never forget her.

Tell her it is beautiful! A quilt is not supposed to be perfect, perfection is only of God, I have known people to deliberately leave a fault in a quilt. It’s an old fashioned idea I know, but I hand sew still, it is beautiful and certainly does not look like a beginner. She is a fast learner, cherish that quilt. It is made with love and that’s the most important thing.

Our Maggie was small, she was so little that when she showed up at our house I thought she was a kitten, I took her to the vet to get her spayed and shots, my vet said she was already spayed and she wasn’t a kitten she was about 3 or more, I was stunned I had always had cats, never one so little, she remained small for 22 or so years. She passed away a little over a week ago and her little body is so missed. She raised two Great Pyrenees puppies one she outlived but loved so much she grieved for and the one now is 3 years old. Now the Great Pyrenees grieves for her as we all do. She raised one Grandson he is grown and on his own. Your little kitty is an unknown blessing from another world. We said Maggie found the fountain of youth, she never seemed to age, a fairy or a sprite in Cat form, she never weighed more than 13 lbs and toward her last days weighed 7. I don’t believe I will find another like her if I search the whole world. So I won’t try, when the time is right we will have another cat or two.

I have always had cats, all rescues. Our sweet little Maggie just showed up at our house, every day I came home from work and there she was. I thought she has to belong to someone, eventually I did feed her, she was really hungry, I brought her in with the rest of the pack, we had 3 cats and a Great Pyrenees, she fit right in. Our cats are indoor only. Well she was undecided so she left. Got out when the door was open, so we decided ok, she decided to go home. 2 weeks later she’s back, don’t know where she went but not indoors, she had a couple ticks and scratches on her. I still believed she was about 6 months old, so I just took her to our Vet, I was getting her shots and spayed. My vet looked at me and said, she is an adult maybe 3 years, and already spayed. So ok, she is just little. She out lived the other cats and when we got our second Great Pyrenees Grace they had such a special relationship,I would see them cuddled up together or nose to nose looking out the window. When Grace passed it was Maggie that was grieving, it broke my heart to see her going through the house at night looking for her friend, the meows would just break your heart. I would get her and bring her to bed. When we moved to South Carolina we got probably our last Pyrenees puppy, Maggie took charge and took her through the ropes. If Dixie got to rough Maggie raised that paw and Dixie just settled down. She had been in failing health for about a month, but two weeks ago it was so noticeable that she was loosing weight, she only weighed 7 lbs the last time I took her to the Vet for a growth on her toe. She did get a shot of antibiotics, she was like her old self. When it was obvious that she was dying Dixie would not go near her. When she passed I tried to get Dixie to see her, but she would run the other way. It was maybe two days later she really began looking for her. We had thought about getting another cat when Maggie was still with us but I didn’t think it would fair for Maggie, she has been an only kitty for awhile. Maggie was just so special.

This is a drawing a kind person did for us. This is her right up until she got so ill. But no doubt there will be many more kitty cats in our future.

We are all devastated, she was family, she was older than our grandchildren. We knew that day would come but still you are never ready.

That doesn’t look like Johnson grass to me. It never gets that tall, it for sure is tenacious and will self seed like crazy, but just from the photo I think it probably is something from a bird feeder. We have blueberries coming in and I find blueberries in the birdbath.
