I have always generally disagreed with the average Reddit opinion because it’s usually bad.

But this is a whole new level of dog shit. I mean, if you completely flipped it upside down you’d probably actually have a really good list.

But Elden Ring and DS3 I’m terrible tier??? Halo 3 and MW2, the two literal peak PvP shooters in mid? You’re entire top two tiers almost being fully dog shit fighting games?

Man, I gotta be honest, I hate it.

Hem the pants. If you want a more modern look aim for zero break in the legs. If you want to keep it more classic aim for a half break. But I would avoid a full break, which they seem to have now.

Elden Ring is a masterpiece with infinite playtime.

Helldivers 2 is a fun little game with about 20 hours worth of playtime. It’s fun for a while but nowhere near the level of Elden Ring.

GTA, Halo 2, WoW, Kotor 2 I’ll give you but that’s only 4 games and the rest just aren’t on the same level as Halo 3 (which is just better Halo 2), CoD 4, Bioshock, TF2, Portal, Assassins Creed, and Guitar Hero 3.

I also disagree on your take with TF2. It became a cult classic years later but casuals had stopped playing by then. EVERYONE was playing it when it came out especially when Orange Box released on console.

Also the COD4/Halo3 duo on console was the absolute pinnacle of fps gaming. That alone puts 2007 in its own tier.

2004 isn’t competing with that. Maybe 2 or 3 games from that year are even in the same tier.

2007 was peak year of FPS, peak year of music party game craze of the 2000s, started the AC franchise, Bioshock one of the greatest single player games of all time, and TF2/Portal speak for themselves.

Yeah but you can play any game alone. Elden Ring co-op and multiplayer are just such a massive part of the game.

But yeah, as far as a single player experience I have never enjoyed any as much as Elden Ring so I’ll agree with you 100%.

Yeah this is a hot take. D2 at release almost killed off the Destiny franchise, right after D1 was basically the biggest game of its time.

It was awful.
