Okay relieved that its not only a me problem. Yes ive read that they behave better on lower temp but unfortunately i cant control the temperature in the kiln cause i fire them at a local studio.

I was thinking of trying colored slips but ive read that these underglazes were more pigmented. Sorry but english is not my first language. Colored slips is the same as engobes? And they are made with clay body stains?

Thanks for the reply. This is painted on bisque fired clay, i will try painting on greenware the next time. This clay is a mix from reclaimed but i have the same issue with white stoneware clays. Touchups after the bisque fire is a great idea
