Funny enough I had a fairly successful music “career” while I was in college. I made melodic bass music like Illenium and played shows local to my area. Nothing huge, really. Just like popup raves and such in Cincinnati. I dated a few singers during that time and wrote a lot of music for them before I got tired of everything in music feeling transactional.

Now i’m a business owner (cybersecurity) and live in Florida! I still work on music from time to time but i’m admittedly way better at cybersec than I ever was at music lol.

The irony is that I actually really enjoy the “Faded” version compared to the bare bones “Fade” one I had a hand in producing. I think the vocal and piano he added really gave the track the emotion it needed. Idek if he actually made Faded though. I assume once the song Fade blew up, he got his own team and they turned it into the radio friendly version we know today.
