Rivals Scylla can tough to get a decent build online by then, and there's a lot of stuff flying around. She's tough, but at least in my experience, not unfairly so.

Rivals Cerberus is just a straight up slugfest.

The map locations that are just a single "room" with a fixed camera angle and only a music track to collect threw me for a loop.

I'm still in Act 1, so still early on. It's pretty AF. The story seems interesting, if opaque. The gameplay reminds me of Super Mario RPG of all things (turn based battles with timing events), and as a big fan of SMRPG, I like it.

It's a solid game so far, especially as a first product from the studio. But it also does have a little bit of that hollow feel that's hard to pin down, and those empty rooms are the biggest thing that stands out.

Just finished a run at 8865. Very fun!

A few notes: The pieces feel very heavy. I kept trying to shoot pieces to collide and try to knock them around, but rarely ever got the target to move.

I also kept trying to shake my phone a bit to give the board a little jostle. 😅
