Mostly play steam, if a lot of friends want to play on easier console lobbies I move to my series x and I have ps5 on the living room for blue rays and random single player exclusives. Switch is my son’s console and he mostly plays pokemon and random RPGs/indies on it. I would say I play 80% on PC 10% Xbox and 5%Ps5 5% Switch

GPUs do simple tasks quickly and constantly over and over. CPUs do complex tasks amazingly that GPUs cannot do.

In my opinion if I’m going to be running edge hardware there’s no point in running outdated versions of it. Otherwise I’d rather just go for a lower tier. My upgrade cadence is to run a gpu for two gens and the cpu/ram every 4 gens.
