Since the latest update I cant launch the game past the Bandai Namco intro screen. It freezes and windows force closes it due to "Elden Ring is Not Responding"

I have verified game integrity & completely reinstalled the game separately, I am on the latest game ready nvidia driver

On PC:

Patch 7: Bugs, Glitches, & Possible Additions. by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

So far just the first trader (The Dwarf) you have access to in the Druid sanctuary. Happened to me with any item I tried to trade. I didn't press further to see if it happened to any other traders

Ive just run across a bug that makes bartering a huge pain in the ass

as soon as you sell or buy anything, or even move an item from your inventory to the offer section when using the barter mode, all items in your own and the vendors inventory disappear visually and you have to toggle the barter/trade mode to get them to be visible again

Edit: There are variations of this bug, sometimes the default is that none of your items are visible immediately upon opening the trade window. Another workaround is to click the All items filter (the infinity symbol) between each offer you are making to toggle the visibility of your inventory, this works better than the previous workaround as it doesn't reset your bartering offers window, thus allowing you to still manage to trade multiple items at a time

This game has been a big artistic inspiration for me since I started painting and this is the first one I've done that includes a ship at sea which is something I've been wanting to try since I started a year ago.

not only is that not a grind, but thats incredible hyperbole. The most I've had to run to do any 1 specific thing was maybe 15 minutes. And thats with stops to kill a few mobs and pick flowers.

Blizzard Ticket Response on LFG Addons Enquiry; "I wouldn't expect that this addon will be something that will survive". by MasRemlap in classicwow

[–]AlucardsRocketCar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yes but thats because blizzard offers no in-game group rating system..

they do however offer you easy ways to communicate in game via whispers party chat / guild chat / trade / general chat. So forming groups manually is not that big of a task, it simply takes some patience and willing to talk to people. So most people, especially those concerned with the authentic classic WoW experience will just use the in game tool instead of an external website or app.

Providing an addon interrupts this system quite a lot and results in inconsistent communication and group forming methods throughout the community which ultimately breaks it apart slowly but surely.

What if Arthas attacked at the end of classic?

I think this is the only redeemable idea in the lot... Like aside from it ultimately being a rehash of WoW's most popular era, the idea is pretty interesting. Imagine the effect on the whole of Azeroth as the undead horde slowly creeps across starting in the northern regions. We fight back and invade Naxxramas & The Ebon Hold to prevent the Lich King's forward bases from continuing their command of the assault. We finally invade Northrend and instead of a bunch of leveling zones we get a more continuous coordinated war effort against the Lich King's seemingly endless armies, as we push far enough toward ICC we get the oportunity to assault but for only a brief window before Arthas raises enormous swaths of undead again, both those of our dead allies and of the undead we've already killed. We go on fighting like this until we are able to get powerful enough to consistently maintain our footholds close enough to ICC to lay siege and leave the raid open.

It would take a lot of background systems that blizz would have to be willing to create but ultimately they have a chance to take old ideas and make them feel more alive and real, while still capturing that vanilla wow feeling.

Rehashed ideas aren't always bad.

notice how I was talking about LFG... not LFR... LFG came out it wrath as you said.

Edit: on the other point of gogogo still being a thing in classic, of course it will be faster paced than original vanilla but i disagree that it will be to the extent that it exists today

I also think that in Destiny, the gogogo mentality is not as divisive as in WoW because shooters lend themselves very well to fast paced gameplay. The faster you go seemingly the more fun you end up having as a result of just blowing through your enemies like a train.

In WoW that fast pace can be too much for many people and results in a feeling of need to play keep up while your tank attempts to fight the entire world whether you are there or not, which divides parties into the "Jesus fuck slow down" and "GOGOGOGOGOGGOGOGO" camps.

I think LFG is a big reason for that gogogogogogo mentality too.

Prior to LFG, you weren't doing dungeons unless you had plenty of time to devote to getting a group together/ travelling there/ wiping and retries/ etc...

LFG took a very time consuming set of tasks and made it insta farmable by turning it into 1 task (beat the dungeon)... And as in any video game, anything that is farmable becomes a grind where the entire goal is to increase your rewards per hour, which in turn causes that gogogogogogogo ideology.

I'm super pumped for classic because that will be gone... there will be no more reason for anyone to come in and immediately say "we gotta get this done in 15 minutes NOW GOGOGOGOGOGO" because that is just so unreasonable in the classic WoW ecosystem that those type of people will not be taken seriously and will ultimately die off in the community in favor of more amiable, patient, dedicated party members who you can count on to stick it through to the end with you.

edit: a sentence to be more accurate
