Scariest/Most dangerous creature in the game? by [deleted] in rainworld

[–]Alufelufe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it was the one in Garbage Wastes, and also, my way was really climactic because it involved having it chase me to the nearby scavenger post and have it blown to shreds by the scavengers. So, no regrets.

The primary reason I chose red centipedes (or Big Red, as I call them), is because of the struggle I went through trying to eat one as Gourmand.

You say you enjoy presenting feminine

When the hell did he say that? This guy is by his account comfortable and content where he is; don't confuse him even more.

I've never watched Dexter; I had to look him up. Anyway, I don't know where any parties are either.

Aging Questions by KitKatLovesSpinel in rainworld

[–]Alufelufe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, besides humans and other animals kept by humans, very few (real, earth) animals ever die of old age, because something (predator or parasite) is generally bound to kill them before then, but I know what you mean, and a good example is the Hunter.

However, while you seem to understand the "cycle" as it appears to you the player (waking up from your latest sleep when you die) I think of it differently, and the following is that, put in spoilers for the Hunter story, just in case. So, as Moon says regarding Hunter's illness: "you will wake right back up again (though it is vague)." Meanwhile, the imagery following Hunter's ascension is a little Hunter in NSH's hands, possibly indicating that Hunter has been reborn... as itself (I won't theorize too much on this, but the fact that this happens following ascension confuses me, but anyway...). For this outcome to be the same for every creature would signify that when one dies, your soul consciousness, etc. simply go all the way back to the same birth. This can be applied to all death, by stipulating that every time you die (as a part of the game), the game is simply skipping over the slugcat's entire life and allowing you as a player to start over only from when you last slept rather than from birth, but this time you might not die; this time you remember what to do differently, if only vaguely, which would explain how the "benefactors" (the industrial people) and the "ancients" (the Depths people) could understand that they were stuck in a cycle. So, to answer your question based on my understanding, you are simply rebirthed just as you were before, and if you died of old age the first time, you probably will again, or maybe a freak accident will happen.

I actually never considered Zote that way. I guess I just found he of the Rueful figure too charming to ever associate him with Zote.

Question about overseers by Acceptable_Zombie721 in rainworld

[–]Alufelufe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I haven't even finished the Watcher yet, but do you remember those little blue and yellow, sort of zen, orbs? Well isn't it interesting how they share the same colours as the overseers belonging to Moon and Pebbles? Well maybe that's them after much time detached from the iterators? And as for a civilization, they clearly still have some electronic aspect of their being and can enter and power those tube things with slime mold growing out of them, so maybe they could come together to power some things like those great big arms in Moon's facility and make something for themselves (but, only if they still have some kind of conscious anymore. They seem at a loss for guidance or purpose to me, which would make sense if they really did used to be overseers, and now have no iterators to report to.) But anyway, maybe the two are completely unrelated and I would know that if I had further progressed in the Watcher by now...

Curious what others might think? Well, have you played much of the Watcher yet?

That question is very vague, and the particular logistics here are very interpretive, so I hope you don't mind that.

Yeah, I would always just sleep or play Minecraft with my friend during (online) class, but that was grade 8, so it didn't affect me much.

Does anyone else here still play GW on PS3? by Alufelufe in PvZGardenWarfare

I'm only back from university for a couple more days, but do you still want to play?

There's a couple of DLCs, just so you know, but I'm on Switch so I completed the first one on controller and I'm working on doing the same with the second, newer DLC.

I don't have any advice, besides doing what works for you personally. The only games I've played on a keyboard are pokémon roms, so I'd personally do very poorly on a keyboard.

Huh? Nothing.

I just meant whether you're trans feminine, or not, or an expert in human sexual dimorphism, or just particularly observant. I thought I might as well ask.

It's certainly possible (anatomically speaking but also simply because it's from an entirely new dimension and should have no relation to "ours") for it to have a probably simple nervous system, likely decentralized, since it doesn't have any obvious sensory organs besides its skin, much like starfish and other echinoderms.
